Where are grew up at I could go outside and pick all manners of wild berries because they grew everywhere. I like strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and more obscure ones like cloudberries and huckleberries. I prefer all of those over large fruits. Pomegranates are also good, but I've never been able to work out the best way to eat them.
I can get why people hate cranberries, because store-bought berries are inferior to wild ones. They're bred to be bigger in size, but it's much harder to increase the sugar and flavor content of them as well, so they're diluted compared the wild ones. Cranberries suffer from this especially. Fresh wild cranberries and blueberries are the size of peas, but the flavor is so concentrated that people who aren't used to eating them often have a hard time doing it. Once you're used to them though, they're so much better than what you get in the store. I once smashed a couple wild strawberries, which are smaller than a grape, on my backpack, and the scent of them stuck around for over a week because of how concentrated they are.
