I've gone through various phases of fschmidt watching and I've come to the conclusion that he's just slightly above average intelligence but since he doesn't have anything else going for him he plays up this trait considerably. He was in the right place at the right time and managed to get rich although his contributions to this process aren't obvious and the advertising arbitage that made NexTag a success according to fschmidt was pretty much a package deal some places. Also since the late 90s he's failed to come up with any new businesses.
He will say that he isn't trying but that is a lie. He's active trying to float some idea on the internet but frustrated that the "lowbrow morons" don't get it.
As a matter of fact he's still trying to replicate NexTag's successful strategy of bidding on advertising space 20 years later.
I think he has a less than average ability to see things in the world around him and produce useful deductions about what's going on or will happen next.
Here is some shit i posted in another thread
Very decent of you to rip people off for being dumb
Also it was tashbook who made nextag a success, if it wasn't for him... not fschmidt it would have gone out of business.
I especially love the part about the old genius in the group still living with his parents. It's also worth noting that since their little coffee shop group broke up, elon musk has been married 3 times, produced 6 kids and made billions more than nextags entire worth. Jeff bezos has been married, produced a child, and also made billions more than anyone in their group. Also they've both put shit in space... oh and our trainwreck of a society has managed to stay together long enough for fschmidt to become an old man and most projections show that america is in no risk of losing it's supremacy in fschmid's remaining lifetime.
But good job avoiding society fschmidt.

Really fschmid.. how does he think he's not ugly or out of shape? He looks like a child molester.I have some bad news for you all, I have reproduced. I have been happily married for 19 years to a former Levi's model from Mexico. I have never been divorced. We have two children, a girl age 11 and a boy age 14. Since I was financially successful in business, I no longer need to work for a living and now have the time to homeschool my kids. I currently divide my time between my current business, which I run from home, and homeschooling. I teach my kids to think for themselves and not accept any beliefs without skepticism.
I have been to Europe. I spent 6 months traveling around the world with my wife, about half of which was in Europe. My parents are from Hungary and they also have a European perspective. I have a good understanding of European history and culture, and the mistaken assumption of Horsefeathers is that prostitution is banned in America because of the puritanical and Victorian values that America got from England. But New Zealand has these same influences and has some of the world's most liberal prostitution laws.
I am not ugly and have never been out of shape. I was rejected by American women because I am a decent person.American women, being the scum of the earth, naturally reject decent men.
One of my frustrations with the internet is that people hide behind pseudonyms and are all talk and no action. My user name, fschmidt, is short for my real name, Franklin Schmidt. I live in El Paso, Texas. On the love-shy forum, I encourage men to stop complaining and to take action to improve their situation. Those of you here who would like to beat the shit out of me should come to El Paso and give it a shot. I would be more than happy to arrange a meeting in El Paso with anyone here. I can be reached at fschmidt@gmail.com .
A decent person said:So this tells me that there is no point developing anything of real value because the masses won't appreciate it. So what does that leave me with as ways to make money? Either screwing people or finding arbitrage, that's all. My last successful business, Nextag, was based on arbitrage. I am currently working on one business based on screwing people and I am investigating another business (in internet advertising) based on arbitrage.

So this taskhook guy was in his late 20s and would find teenage girls on the internet and offer to buy them plane tickets. He also tried to recruit local girls to get naked on film for him. It all came crumbling down when he went to a high school girls house after she didn't get on his plane and caused a scene in her front yard until the neighboors called them policefschmidt said:Robert Tashbook worked with me at Nextag. He worked in QA but was very creative. Nextag's original business model made no sense. Tashbook found the business model that made Nextag work. He realized that there was an opportunity to treat comparison shopping as an arbitrage business, taking the profit in the difference between the cost of buying ads and price that we could sell ads to merchants. If you look up Nextag, you will see that it was valued at $1.2 billion. What did Tashbook get for making Nextag so valuable? He is currently in federal prison for unlawful sexual conduct. He tried to kidnap a girl using the Internet to be his sex slave. While at Nextag, we never discussed our personal lives, so I didn't know this side of him, but I completely understand where he was coming from since I considered a similar option myself before deciding to try finding a girlfriend Mexico instead. Luckily for me, I had better judgement than he did. This side of Nextag's history is unlikely to make it into the popular media.

So fschmidt thinks that randomly in whatever town this is the smartest men alive just happen to live unnoticed.fschmidt said:We were part of a group of people that formed around a coffee shop. Everyone there was a drop-out from society. This group was the most intelligent I have seen, certainly brighter than the Nobel Prize winners from my university, or venture capitalists, or successful financial traders. We all had different opinions about most things, but the one shared opinion was that society is a disaster to be avoided. James, like most of us, tried to put women out of his mind. He had strong self-discipline, but he was older than the rest of us, so the accumulated stress must have had more effect. At one point, his parents threw him out, forcing him to find a new place to live. He decided it wasn't worth the trouble and killed himself. I have no doubt that the outcome would have been different if he had had a girlfriend.
