Fuck Logitech - The erstwhile kings of peripherals now only sell garbage and I'm sad

it made me realize that my old ball mouse had a polling rate of about ~90Hz

Currently still using the G600 which is a fantastic MMO mouse

despite the mouse being one of their best sellers they ceased production a couple of years back
God fucking damnit I've been using a G600 for like 10 years now and never got around to buying a bunch so I could use them forever :lossmanjack:

Well hopefully I'll be going to college for electrical engineering soon and can just keep the current one working for years

besides the screws being hidden behind the pads and having to solder small PCBs logitech stuff is pretty serviceable with off-the-shelf parts for wear&tear items like switches.

Didn’t read OP, I’m just here to express my love of the F310 controller. Dirt cheap at around $15-20, and the d-pad is unrivaled to this day. The sticks are shit and the triggers could be better, but it’s great for 2D games if you don’t mind a wired connection.

The wireless version is much more expensive with a worse d-pad, has a bulky rumble motor that hurts your fingers, and sunk a submarine, so don’t get that.

Do not pay full price for these POS mice. My MX Master 1 worked perfectly for 4+ years, surviving billions of clicks. MX Master 3 left mouse button died just after a year, and the Master 3S I replaced it with also died just after a year. Nice ergonomics, the best battery life, but with the parts quality of an Aliexpress knockoff.
Hey - don't knock the Aliexpress knockoffs. The Attack Shark mice are actually good and cheap as hell to boot.

I recently bought a Logitech 402 because my MX518 (the best mouse ever made) is getting a little long in the tooth. The thing is so much worse than my old one, it's unacceptable for anything but surfing the internet and working imo.

I just bought a G213 keyboard/G305 mouse combo. So far, great, and not too pricey.
G305 is often available for $30 or less, and it's easily worth it at that price. 1000hz wireless, same Hero sensor and dongle as their higher end mice. Probably the same switches as well. It's a small mouse, which is recommended by retards who only play competitive FPS. Small mice give you the ability to make more fine adjustments in your aim. The only downside is you'll probably feel cramps in your hand if you're used to larger mice. But the G305 is one of few Logitech mice that's easy to recommend because of its price. G213 uses "mech-dome" switches which will make keyboard enthusiasts shudder in horror. But if you like it, who cares!

Keyboard is fine, I'm not a big gamer. I found myself having to strike the keys of my old Redragon really hard, sucked when doing a lot of typing. Actually started to hurt, after a while.

Hard to move your hand to page navigation keys without a scroll wheel, but I agree, I would like a dedicated middle mouse button.
Are there any mice like that? A middle button that is the same as the left and right buttons.
Like this but with a scroll-wheel:

recently bought an MX vertical and it's probably the last logitech product I'll ever own

great shape, significantly reduces wrist strain
integrated battery that lasts for months
lightweight, wireless
made out of the cheapest plastic known to man, after a solid month of use it started to accumulate oily spots that are impossible to clean

I got it on sale for around 60€, but to think this piece of shit retails for over 110€ is just absurd.

I've only been let down by three Logitech products, and two of them are variants of the same thing, wired and wireless versions of the Trackman Marble trackball.

The Trackman Marble has a woefully inadequate microswitch for the left click button, which fails within a couple of years.

The Compact Solar Keyboard worked great, but eventually stopped holding a charge and there was no way to replace the battery.

G600 mouse is the finest piece of hardware ever invented
Mine is starting to shit the bed. Hopefully I can repair it because I don't want to use any other mouse.

I bought it and sent it back a day later. I really wanted to like it but I couldn't stand the slow the sensor was so I went back to my G305.
I would like to try the Razer Pro Click V2 Vertical but I can't find it at a decent price.
