It makes me wonder what the hell else can be naturally consumed by insects. There's probably a wide range of softer plastics that could also remain edible to a bug with strong enough chewers. But was it ever actually found out if styrofoam is entirely digested or if micro parts still survive?
gypsy moth larvae eat polyethylene.

A propietary eponym or genericized trademark is a successful brand name or trademark that has come into general use to refer to the generic class of objects rather than the specific brand type, without the exclusive rights to said product being lost by the parent company.

You know how every plastic food container with snap closed lids gets called a Tupperware but Tupperware is only one particular brand that makes them, the name is still use to refer to any similar container from any brand.

Other examples: Jet ski, bubble wrap, velcro, band-aid, jacuzzi. x-acto knife and ping pong
Other ones are Xerox machine or to xerox something, jeep, walkie-talkie and dumpster. Adobe is deathly afraid of this happening with Photoshop so they strongly discourage people from using terms like "photoshopped" to refer to edited images.

So little remains (context wise) of the lost silent film The Curse of Quon Gwon that the title makes almost no sense and nobody knows who or what Quon Gwon is.

Sears/Kmart haven't expanded their territory since 2006, mainly because the guy running the company at the time was batshit insane.

I've been to the Kmart in Florida, it's in Miami, and it's a bit of a tourist attraction.
For a fun fact, the people behind Anal Cunt made a parody "folk" Black Metal album called Impaled Northern MoonFrost during a night at a hotel with an acoustic guitar, and since they didn't want to wake up the people sleeping next door, they slapped a mattress and their legs for percussion.

Napalm Death made it into the Guinnes book of world records with the shortest song ever, "You Suffer" at 1.316 seconds long.

Despite popular misconception, it's never actually been proven that the real reason it sometimes takes forever for your dog to learn anything in the original Nintendogs is because Nintendo applied the irl average intelligence of all the breeds into the game.
