During the late Republic era of Ancient Rome, birthrates were so low that writers of the time were making note of it and many childless patricians were adopting kids so the family line wouldn't die out with them. The most famous case is probably that balding cuck Julius Caesar, who adopted the future 1st Roman Emperor, Octavian August, as his heir.
 
French author Francois Rabelais left a one-sentence long will. It read: "Je n'ai rien vaillant; je dois beaucoup; je donne le reste aux pauvres."
Translation: "I own nothing, I owe much, what's left I leave to the poor."
 
"She's All That" and "My Fair Lady" were both adapted from Pygmalion.

The rights to both are now owned by Paramount Pictures, but ironically, neither film was originally released by Paramount.

"My Fair Lady" was adapted from a musical of the same name based on Pygmalion that was financed by CBS, and when Warner Bros. bought the film rights, it was agreed that the rights would revert to CBS seven years after release, which they did in 1971.

When Miramax released "She's All That", it was a division of Disney. Miramax was sold to Filmyard Holdings in 2010, then to beIN Media Group in 2016.

In 2019, Paramount and CBS became sister companies upon the formation of ViacomCBS, which subsequently purchased a minority stake in Miramax in 2020, getting the rights to their entire catalog.

I don't know where else to put this: Aqua, the super bubblegum pop band that made Barbie Girl, released a revival album in 2011 with a song called "Kill Myself":


and the hook is "for you I would KILL, MY, SELF; I would KILL, MY, SELF" and it's set to a poppy beat and it's very funny and I'm surprised it never became a meme. Seems perfect for videos of troons being wacky
 
You might be under the impression that hairless Sphinx or Sphynx cats date back to ancient Egypt...nope.

1960s Canada.

The majority of established hairless/fine hair cat breeds originate in the 20th Century.

The hairlessness comes from a gene mutation which any cat can carry, meaning that the average street cat could produce a "sphynx" if they carry a gene for it. So, you might get a litter of four regular kittens and 1 hairless. However, if a cat is not selectively bred for this mutation, the cat is likely to have more fine hairs present than those that were. There are many genes that causes hairlessness or extremely short, fine hair (like that of the Cornish Rex).

Pretty easily verified as false. You can do a basic web search and FIND them
Common Linux virus types depending on what you are running and where or what you connect to. Trojan horse, worms, web scripts, rootkits, buffer overruns
If you have a web server or ftp server for one, it should have scans done now and then. even more regularly if you host using an available cms such as joomla wordpress etc...
You can still transmit virus over email even if they can't infect your system because they are written for windows.
There are 0-day and other exploits written for Linux
that really cool new free software you installed and needed super user to install had bad stuff(tm) in it

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
 
I was being kinda facetious, but I never caught a virus with Linux by just browsing malware sites, neither did Windows 10 forced overnight update did brick my PC because my Internet connection broke for a few seconds in the meantime.

I'm sure modern Windows uses the GNU system at its core.
 
Brontosaurus never existed, it was just another species of the previously named genus Apatosaurus. Until studies released in 2015 deemed that certain Apatosaurus remains were distinct enough to be classed in a separate genus.
