You can make the fizz in a freshly-poured carbonated beverage go down faster by sticking your finger in it. The oil on your finger will break the surface tension of the bubbles and they'll pop faster.

A 'bodge' job these days refers to bad or incomplete work. A few hundred years back however a 'bodger' was a man who turned the legs and spindles for chairs but didn't actually make the chair itself. He made half a chair IE he did half a job. Hence the term bodge job.

Scars actually heal away after time. If you actually look at any scars you got as a kid, you'll probably notice it's more faded than it was years ago. The reason some people seemingly keep some scars their whole lives is because their scar was probably caused by a relatively deep wound which means it takes far longer to heal. I'm not sure if they heal completely or they just turn into a slightly discolored streak of skin, but they definitely go away with time.

You can manipulate your emotions with music. Most people only listen to what other people listen to. If you spend time finding music that makes you feel certain ways, motivated, inspired, etc you can use it to give yourself an emotional boost when you need it. Think about how motion pictures and trailers use their soundtrack to sway you. Epic scenes are accompanied by sweeping music, battle scenes are fast-paced and loud, scenes of memories are accompanied by slow piano, etc. You can use music to ease you into certain moods in the same way.
