In the commentary of A Clockwork Orange, Malcolm McDowell said that he scratched his eye during the Ludovico treatment scene. In particular he said it happened right at the 3:13 timemark.
"I didn't feel it at the time, my eyes were anesthetized," says McDowell, now 70 years old, of the 10-minute take that he endured for the film, his eyes forced open with metal clamps. "In the car going home -- I don't know if you've ever scratched your corneas, you don't want to do it -- I don't think I've ever experienced pain like that before. It was horrible. It was like being cut with razor blades."

He also cracked his ribs during the humiliation scene when an actor kicked his chest.

R. Lee Ermey filmed Full Metal Jacket after breaking all his ribs and his collarbone when his jeep rolled over. Notice how GySgt. Hartman never moves his left arm.

I was thinking about that when I saw the scene where Pyle claims the Stairway to Heaven (That's the thing Pyle's on when Hartman tells him that "He climbs obstacles like old people fuck!"). How did he get up there if he broke his ribs and collarbone? Did they airlift him with a crane, did they dress up a stunt double or did they film it before the accident

A Clockwork Orange

I keep seeing people say interesting stuff about this movie, but I never could make myself finish watching it, cause even my desensitized-to-cheesy-stuff-due-to-toku self can't take a movie seriously when someone in there gets hit with a whole-ass window.

I guess this counts as a fun fact.

Another Clockwork Orange tidbit: Anthony Burgess was a hypochondriac who was convinced he was dying of a brain tumor, so he wrote the novel in less than a month so he'd be remembered for something. He wound up living for another thirty-one years.

More Kubrick: Stanley Kubrick ordered all sets from 2001 to be destroyed so they wouldn't be used in low budget scifi movies. When the sort of sequel: 2010 The Year We Made Contact, was made, they had to recreate everything based on what was seen in the film.

Lucille Ball claimed that she almost drowned while filming this scene of The Lucy Show.

Speaking of movie accidents related to water that manage to end up in the finished movie:

When they filmed "Das Boot" in 1981, during one scene, they simulated a storm by splashing a 1:1 mockup of the Tower with large amounts of water. One of the actors lost his grip and was swept off the set, leading to one other actor unscriptedly yelling "Man Overboard". The actor that was swept off, Jan Federer, broke a few of his ribs and got a concussion, but they kept the video material and went with it. They had to rewrite the movie, so his character was bedridden - cause the actor actually was. They had to pick him up at the hospital every day when he was to film his scenes and then brought him back. In the uncut version, you can see him lying in his bunk and the strained, painful expression on his face is actually real.

Some more interesting facts: The set they used for the submarine was actually completely closed, there were no cutaways for the camera, which helps to establish the movie's claustrophobic atmosphere.

The actors dubbed their own english dialogue. Furthermore, they were forced to stay as much indoors as possible before they started filming, so they would be as pale as possible, to fit the setting.

In general, the production of the movie/series is rather amazing and if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

Speaking of movie set scenes accidents how come John Landis wasn't sent to prison for the incident involving the deaths of those 2 Asian kids and Vic Morrow in the movie Twilight Zone?

A few more small facts with Malcolm and A Clockwork Orange.
Stanley Kubrick picked Malcolm to play the role of Alex because of his performance in this movie:
The famous Alex DeLarge smirk at the beginning of the movie:
screen-shot-2015-02-16-at-11-18-20-am.png

was based on this one little scene from If right here:
where his character smugly enters into a room to get a caning. Malcolm had no idea how to get the Alex smile correctly and the director from If told him to play it the way he did in the caning scene, which was enough to impress Stanley Kubrick.

Fun fact: Stanley Kubrick bought Malcolm McDowell a dog. Of course the dog's name was Alex.

Not fun fact: Malcolm's first wife who he eventually divorced (she was married to Keir Dullea from 2001 previously) refused to give Malcolm's dog back to him once the divorce was finalized and she gave Alex away, and gave Malcolm the dog's belongings after. I assume it's because he got together with Mary Steenburgen in that time.

Funfact: You can avoid going to jail, no matter how guilty you are, when you're filthy rich.

Homestar Trivia

James Huggins, formelly of "Of Montreal" was the one who accidentally coined the name Homestar Runner. He was trying to imitate a local commercial that had local athelete Mark Lemke sponsor their store, he was trying to say "ALL STAR RUNNER FOR THE [Atlanta] BRAVES", but knew jack shit about sports and accidentally said "Home Star Runner" instead, and it became an in joke with The Brothers Chap for a few years before becoming the basis for a character's name.
11 years later, The Brothers Chap directed a music video for them "Heimsdalegate Like a Promethean Curse".

Strong Bad's name origin comes from the NES Game "Tag Team Wrestling", where one of the opponents is "The Strong Bads"

The reason The Walking Dead Telltale game exists is because Robert Kirkman likes SBCG4AP and the way characters interacted with each other.

The reason why Pepsi is so popular in places like Ukraine and Russia is because the USSR made a deal with Pepsi Co. that allowed it to be sold there instead of Coke. That's right. Not only does Pepsi taste like trash and was made for poor blacks but it's also COMMUNIST.
