There was once a comic series about the punisher becoming a black man after a botched plastic surgery somehow accidentally left him with way too much melanin in his skin following a violent assault after he was locked away in prison for being a vigilante. The comics featured him teaming up with other black superheroes and learning the struggles of being a black man.

It’s fascinating how much damage the natural forces of earth can do. It’s like nature wants to remind us that it’s cool with us living here, but it can absolutely fuck us over at any given second if it wanted to.
