Don't forget that while he was in Stockholm, He struck up a relationship with Henriette von Rosen , a member of the Von Rosen family. He was close to get married to her (got even the blessning by Gustav V of Sweden because Lee lived an insane life) but he broke the engamgent off because he thought he couldn't support her with his work. They stayed friend for a long time.

Bullets are also called "Rounds" because in the early days of firearms, firing squads were deployed in such a way that when one of them shot, the next one would move forward to shoot while the backline reloaded their weapons. Because the soldiers did a shooting round and a reloading round, eventually the shots in the weapon were called "rounds".

The Spanish tercios were very apt with firearms and usually they carried them in small prepared satchels that they had hanged in a leather band along their chest. These were called "the apostles" because every soldier was issued always 12 of them.

Eventually, many people came to see that having prepared cartridges for your musket instead of doing every step of the reloading manually saved a lot of time in the battlefield, mainly for muzzleloading weapons. This is why prepared paper capsules, called "paper cartridges" became extremely popular and useful, specially amon the british emprie. This primitive bullets had a measured amount of gunpowder and a bullet inside, all sealed in a paper capsule usually treated with animal fat or beeswax in order to prevent the mixture to get wet and in aiding to the ignition. Due to the rumors that the bullets contained tallow derived form pig or cow fat, this created an enormous anti-british sentiment in the sepoy soldiers of the british empire, leading to the Indian rebellion of 1857.

During the Spanish Golden Century (Siglo the Oro) literature was in full boom and the most popular writers were Francisco de Quevedo and Enrique Góngora. Both were extremely apt in poetry but they hated each others guts so much that they always managed to slip insulting verses adressed to each other in their works. The saltiest one was Quevedo because he made an insulting poem directly adressed to Góngora, picking on him because he had a huge nose.

The hotter the year, the more ice cream gets eaten, the more people spend leisure time at the beach. Makes sense

As for my fact:

The USS Missouri (as well as a few other Iowa class Battleships) started their lives off being able to launch 3 US Naval seaplanes to use as fire support/gunnery assistants. Then for Korea they has switched to helicopters. When used in the Gulf War, 40 years later, they launched drones fairly similar to the RQ-7 Shadow still in use today.
 
Halloween 3 season of the witch original would have been very clear with how it ended. After tom Atkins screams stop it stop stop it into the phone the credits would roll and be accompanied by the sounds of little children screaming their deaths and possibly the screams of their parents seeing them die and sirens from emergency vehicles.

However this was dropped at the last minute and replaced with the more ambiguous ending and simply playing the theme over the credits. Thought officially director Tommy Lee Wallace has stated that he personally believes Atkins succeeded in stopping the broadcast...but not before a few chips activated.


Also Halloween 3 has no connection to the previous films or Micheal Myers because it was originally the first in a series of films that would have various stories set around Halloween and be a different story each time.

Damn, it would have been good if Halloween would have been an antology series instead of going into the Thorn saga that shat all over the series. Still, at least the last Halloween movie was nice.

The most important is the Big Mac Index, which measured the adquisitive power of the population using as a measuring stick the price of a Big Mac since it utilizes the predicted exchange between dollars and the currency of the country since they would virtually cost the same amount of money. This index gave raise to the word Burgernomics and in 2009 the countries with the highest adquisitive power were Norway and Venezuela. It's obvious that one of them has lost the podium, as Norway is still leading alongside Switzerland.

I'm suspicious about that actually being true, because in some countries, a Big Mac is going to cost a lot more in terms of local currency because it and McDonald's in general is considered an exotic import of some sort. Or the country is protectionist. So a local item of comparable nutritional value might be much cheaper, whereas in the U.S. much of what McDonald's sells is literally subsidized by the government.

I've traveled to a lot of places, no where I've been, which includes a decent amount of 3rd world nations in Africa, Asia and Latin America, was McDonalds liked upon as exotic.

At least not after the wall had come down for a few years.
 
The Judo technique of the swallow reversal, or tsubame gaeshi, is named after a famed sword technique invented by master swordsman Sasaki Kojiro. Kojiro is famous for being Miyamoto Musashi's greatest rival and dying in the duel against him on Ganryu Island. His sword, the Monohoshizao, which means laundry-drying pole, was a nodachi, a large two-handed field sword, it is said that Kojiro was so strong that he was able to wield it with the same finesse and quickness that a regular swordsman wielded a katana, a regular longsword of the period.
The technique itself has been lost with time, but possible reconstructions describe it as a technique where the sword would be sliced downwards and then quickly upwards.
