Back in the days that AOL sent people shitty CD'S in the mail, my grandma would tie them to her fruit trees because the reflection scares birds away.

Huh, in my household, we used the AOL CDs as coasters. Also someone in my family started using hydrogen peroxide as mouthwash a while back, and everyone else has since picked up the habit.
