Fun YouTube documentaries.

Interesting video, I had no idea Mac Tonight and Moonman had this insane lore behind it.
Emp's best ones are the Spongebob one and the Dale Earnhardt one, some of his others tend to meander or have a weak central thesis.

Interesting subject matter, I've always enjoyed outsider art and the products of schizophrenics

Dwarf fortress is one of the most interesting video game projects out there, and this vid does a good job introducing it

Definitely, I'm a total '80s kid and I loved the character – I even had the toys. Oddly enough, even though I thoroughly enjoyed web 1.0 and YTMND memes back in the day, I wasn't even aware of the Moonman character until fairly recently when I looked up old Mac Tonight videos and noticed disclaimers in the descriptions from the uploaders who threatened to remove all racist comments about Moonman.

Qxir is in my opinion a criminally underrated irishman that produces 5 to 10 minutes mini-documentaries on obscure and more often than not extremely stupid subjects.

He stands out from the pack because he has subjects that I've legit never seen anyone else cover, like that one time a man in crippling debt trooned out and dupped the entire automobile industry for millions, the man that kamikaze'd the IRS offices or that one time when the Australian glowies pretended to be terrorists, trashed a Sheraton and were later arrested by the local police.

My favorite video of his is probably the one documenting the 1904 summer olympics men's marathon, which I know sounds mundane as hell compared to the subjects on the previous paragraph but it legitimately was a fucking shitshow that doesn't have the attention it deserves.

Sounds cool, I'll check it out.

Since this is the IoT forum I'll link NostalgiaNerds video on Cyrix, it's pretty good.
This is why I come to the Farms. The information is astounding to view for yourself and come to a logical conclusion. I have learned a great deal of positive information as well as seeing a few certified assholes that I actually am astounded that they actually are alive... And yea they are from generation FAIL.

Concerning the Cyrix Chip. Power leveling a little here. Did performance reviews on that neat little CPU. This meant that I had to buy those chips out of pocket, but I did not mind that.

IMHO at the time Cyrix was brutally destroyed by Intel and their nefarious methods of controlling the market. The multimillion dollar incentives that they gave to computer companies, an Example is DELL, (They were eventually sued for this by AMD) to only purchase their product was the Death knell of this CPU.

The way out 90's was a time where garage companies as well as anyone can dream of making it big. This includes all sectors of the market, I was there. I saw things happen like this. I made investments into the Dot.com era and became a wealthy man. I got out of the Dot.com investing 6 months before the decline. I was not greedy as millions of others who lost everything the end of the Dot.Com Era.

What I saw in the 90's was a explosion of innovation. Of Expression that was not controlled by big business/government. I saw a fantastic array of music that current 2020's era music pales in comparison. Hell even Swing (a fun and happy type of dancing) was back from the 40's.

Cyrix, AMD, VIA, INTEL made things exciting back then.

Thanks for adding this posting on documentations I will be watching some of these postings here. I already know there are going to be some great documentaries for viewing.

Here is my input for an very informative and accurate documentary about ancient history.

I highly recommend this site.

I feel that way about the graphics card market back in the day, it was the wild west/total shitshow but it was so much fun.

NostalgiaNerd also made some good stuff about Amstrad and Sinclaire, didn't know much about the people behind those so it was fascinating. His video(s) about the Amiga and Atari Falcon was also really good. (then watch the Silkcut demo for the Falcon).
