One disruptive 'furry' banned from future Anthrocon events
Story by Andrew Limberg • 1d •
1 min read

A person accused of causing a scene and being disruptive during the annual furry event, Anthrocon last weekend in Pittsburgh has been banned from future functions.

The unnamed person was in a suit reportedly called “Crusader Cat” which features a bowl-type haircut and has been photographed in the past with a parody of a Nazi armband. The swastika is replaced with a black paw in those pictures.

According to multiple reports, Crusader Cat has been known to make threats in the past and have been banned from other events.

It’s not known what Crusader Cat did specifically at this past weekend’s Anthrocon, but the organizers made an exception to their policy of not discussing bans to make this one public.

“Anthrocon strives to be a positive and supportive member of our furry community. Anthrocon staff and venue partners want to thank everyone for their patience and information as we endeavor to host the best furry events that we possibly can.”

Anthrocon 2026 is already planned for next year July 2-5. The theme for next year is “Critters, Cryptids & Curses.”

More news articles on these sick fucks please. With Kage's face front and center.

I hate the guy because he fucks cats, but it's extremely funny that his mere presence alone can make the entire fandom explode. Like throwing a flashbang into it.

I always love how the first and usually only thing anyone brings up is that he is a Nazi. When Crusader is a self-admited zoophile. That should be the thing that is mentioned above everything else.

And the sad part is they're not angry at him for fucking cats, they're angry for the potential embarrassment or damage they can cause the "fandom."

This is why the furry community is never going to rid itself of the animal abusing bad apples. They don't care about animals getting hurt, or perverts hurting animals, they care about saving face with the normies so they can continue to indulge.
The furry outrage cycle goes like this: some dweeby guy is exposed for horrible crimes, other furries (who don't actually have a problem with those horrible crimes, cause they either do them or would do them themselves or don't see them as wrong) flip out cause this will make them "look bad", they fear the ire of the normies cause that might mean the Hilton says "no" this year, they embark on an autistic crusade to save face with the normies, nothing in fur-world actually changes, and some new dweeby guy gets exposed for horrible crimes.
No offense but they remind me a lot of drug addicts. Scabby Jeremy is gonna rob Meth Joe, everyone in the trap house is outraged but everyone in the trap house knows that they would also rob Meth Joe, or if they personally wouldn't they understand Scabby Jimmy's motivations, no one cares about theft but everyone cares deeply about the cops showing up cause that might mean they get their drug-time interrupted, nothing changes, everyone's still in the trap house, everyone's still hooked on drugs, the cycle is unbroken.
I think that for some people, escapist hobbies like furry can function similarly to drugs. And both can lead to destroyed hotel rooms and startlingly horrible sex abuse, interestingly enough.

The "mainstream" arm of the fandom is utterly obsessed with optics and keeping the "uwu inclusive" label at any cost. You could have been on the Epstein files but as long as you put the right flag in your bio, you'll be just fine.

Something strange seems to be going on with Furrydelphia and/or their hotel this year, because I’ve noticed some odd announcements about the hotel on their social media over the past couple of weeks.

Before I really dig into this, let me give you a point of reference: FD has had a consistent room block at the same Sheraton in Philadelphia for the last four years. People who supersponsor get early access to the room block for a few days, after which it opens to the general public. Usually, it sells out a day or so after it opens, and occasionally, they manage to negotiate a small extension to that block. The Sheraton is the only hotel that's part of FD. There’s no overflow or alternate options, meaning the number of available rooms should be the same each year.

In mid-April, supersponsors got first dibs on the block as usual. Nothing too weird about that.

April 30, 7 p.m. EST: the room block opens to the general public. Despite stating in their last post that the room block usually doesn’t fill that quickly, they post a little over three hours later that the entire block is sold out.

June 4: They announce more rooms have been added to the block. There was no follow-up announcement indicating whether that block sold out.

July 11: Another announcement goes up saying yet another room block has opened. This is especially surprising considering FD is just over a month away (August 22–24), and it’s rare to see a furry convention’s hotel block still not sold out this close to the event.

To most people, this might not seem that strange. However, as mentioned earlier, this is the same hotel with a fixed number of rooms, and FD already has an established relationship with them. So it’s odd that the hotel wouldn’t have accounted for all this upfront. I have a few theories about what might be going on:
  • The hotel intentionally gave FD a smaller room block than in previous years. It’s unclear why they’d do that if there’s no issue with the convention being hosted there.
  • The original block did sell out, but they overestimated how much interest the extension would get.
  • People are outright canceling their rooms, and FD is trying to make up the difference, though the reason for why people are cancelling them is unclear.

At best, this seems like a case of poor coordination or communication. At worst, it suggests there may be something going on behind the scenes, either with the hotel or FD itself. Time will tell, but if my extremely specific furry convention autism is anything to go by, this is still a pattern worth noting.

That's interesting. The bizarre thing about furry cons is they've often been well organized and coordinated, which is partly why hotels tolerate them. And as awful as furry cons are, other professional cons are often equally bad. I've heard horror stories about dentist cons, for example.

So this Crusader Cat...cat...is there any evidence of him being a "Neo-Nazi", or is it just your usual suspects pitching a histrionic fit and crying Yahtzee because he wore a parody Nazi armband one time without any other indication that the guy has Fascist political views?

He is also nominally Christian, which I'm sure is inherently fascistic to many furries.

So presumably a straight Christian male who once wore a parody Nazi armband, and whose furfagsona has "crusader" in their name and dresses like a monk. How horrifying. Truly the second coming of that Charlie Chaplin lookalike from Germany.

As a typical dramatic furry, Crusader Cat has unlocked his X account a few days after locking it, and gone back to creating and posting AI generated art of his characters. if you' notice that he has a female alt character, you can possibly predict his next step to rejoining the furry fandom? How long before CC joins the "Trans" movement to absolve him of his sins within the fandom?
