There are a couple possibilities:
1. staff doesn't like the host in particular (surprisingly happens)
2. already have a model train panel (silly because they'll let duplicate panels through AND schedule them at the same time)
3. past years have shown that there will only be 5 people at the meet (also silly)
4. staff decided that model trains are the same as railfans, and therefore the separate panel is not needed (also silly)

Anthrocon is victimized by its own size, and inability to expand its staff. The con has half the staff of FWA and MFF, and is trying to make do with what they've got. That can and does lead to stupid decisions like this.

BLFC had all 4 happen and the second panel happened anyway, it was some gay stage production

CFz, while not a charity, is structured as a non-profit company. Glastonfurry Ltd is not and any profits it makes can be paid out to those beneficiaries. Have the directors noticed the success of Core Element and wondered why, like jannies, they’ve been doing it for free all this time?

If that’s too dry for your taste, CFz also decided to issue a statement from Yinx in support of babyfurs [archive]. It’s slightly unfocused (including a whole paragraph on his experience as a trans woman - who could have predicted this?) but the thrust is that all furries should unquestioningly accept all other furries and not have their heads turned by people outside the fandom, who are conformists and wander blindly in the wilderness, lacking Yinx’s piercing countercultural vision. Because nothing says “nonconformist countercultural vision” like handing down commandments from your single-family detached home in leafy Berkshire bought with the proceeds of your career in the international defense industry.

Some of you cynics may be wondering if perhaps Yinx has some history of wearing a diaper as a sexual fetish. Ah, you already know the answer:

I've listened to enough Furry music to realize this is gonna be the most awful music 'festival' of all time, even worse than Woodstock 99. Not only is the music godawful (most of it is AI Slop or sounds like a drug addict using FL Studio while off his head on LSD) you'll have the stench of all the diaperfags, and sexual harassment won't just occur but will be tolerated by those degenerate motherfuckers.

Funny you should mention that. Birmingham, UK (where CFz is) is expected to record its hottest ever May temperature on Sunday and then be even hotter on Monday. Temperatures in the high 80s may not seem much, but the UK has a humid climate and the buildings are designed to keep heat in. In other words:

CFz is in Birmingham? Do the furries there WANT to get killed in a terrorist attack? More on topic, this "shadow cabal" of diaperfurs & or babyfurs is not fooling anyone. Even though I make an effort to not paint every weird kinkster as evil, they (diaper lovers & co) make me suspicious when anyone who criticizes them has this hate mob sent after them.
