Do I think he'd have worked at Brentford or Arsenal? Frankly no. His personality has shown to be more trouble than whatever price-tag either party could have got him for.
I don't think he would have worked at Arsenal so I am glad we didn't buy another Pepe, but having a few seasons with Brentford that came under the radar might have made him into a decent to good premier league winger. Its hard to tell because he is stuck in a Chelsea squad that sucks ass, has no direction, and isn't helping him develop. Add on to that a massive price tag and its no shock that he is struggling

Normally I'd be against PGMOL rigging games but since it happened to Liverpool, it's incredibly funny instead
We are truly a cursed club, no team has lost more points to incorrect VAR decisions than us since VAR was introduced. I think it's just the refs feuding with Klopp

Oh dont act like Liverpool dont get more than their fair share of the rub of the green. You'd think that no team had ever been cheated by the officials before by the way their fanbase is acting

Hey now, we aren't all delusional. Theres 1% of Arsenal fans out there who aren't retarded
I rated you rainbows just for the lulz but it’s nice to see big sides realise that in any close call the ref and VAR always sides with the bigger team, this is obvious to any supporter in the bottom half. Whether that’s because they’re scared of backlash on and off the field I don’t know. The problem is so bad the FA has even banned any mention of bias with the threat of of huge fines. Tottenham getting the better treatment just means they’re currently the bigger team.

I think the lower table teams and the "smaller teams" are looking more big picture with these VAR calls. Sure, you aren't getting your way against the big clubs and you will have to grind it out against your fellow small clubs to survive another year. But in return, you get a really fucking massive paycheck through TV revenue. So, keeping these big clubs happy with some slight calls in their favor that means you only end up upsetting the Big 6 once every year and a half is the price to pay to end up spending a combined 2.9 billion during the summer transfer window instead of ending up like Getafe who ended up spending 11 mil and getting 6 mil in transfer fees by selling/getting rid of 13 players and bringing in 10 players. Complaining about a VAR call is just biting the hand that feeds you and getting more trouble than its worth tbh. The best bet is to pull a Brighton where you develop an amazing scouting network, start doing really well despite having to replace players every year, and then stumble upon an amazing coach that carries you into the top of the table. Then just try and stay there long enough to become recognized as a big player. Leicester almost did it, City did it, Tottenham did it, Brighton and Villa are close to doing it, West Ham might be close to doing it. Just gotta play the game the right way

And pray to Allah that the leader of a Middle Eastern blood money nation state needs a new hobby.

In 7 gameweeks this season we've had three incorrect red cards (Mac Allister, Jones, Jota didn't deserve his first yellow), a red card not given to Tottenham (Ugodie didn't get a second yellow for demanding a player gets booked), and the Diaz goal. I'm not legitimately conspiratorial about it, but clearly we've been the most unlucky so far.

I think there's something to be said about it being inappropriate that a number of the officials from that game were refereeing in the UAE (i.e., the country run by Man City's owners) less than 48 hours before that game. City have legitimate evidence against them for pretty much everything but match fixing/bribing refs, so it wouldn't shock me if they've added that to their laundry list of offences

ETA: Oh and Mac Allister is going to get a ban now for making a joke about the incorrect decisions

Boo fucking hoo. You don’t get special treatment once and think you’re being genocided. Welcome to the Premiere League.

Foot going through and over the ball has always been a red card, it's actually fairly consistently given. It's not intentional but the player is out of control and dangerous

Jota doing that when on a yellow was retarded, regardless of if the first was warranted or not. Dont remember the MacAllister one now though.

Implying the refs are biased or calling their integrity into question (one of the big problems with PGMOL and why you always see managers dance around the subject in interviews) has always been a suspension

It seems refs have given up with the 'warnings for complaining to officials' already as I've not seen one for a while now which is a shame but also not a conspiracy against a single club

The referees are shit and always have been. Im of the belief they're crooks but suddenly its a revelation since Liverpool was on the recieving end for once is a bit laughable. The only positive of this happening is the club that got hit are by far the whingiest victims in the country and they might actually keep crying until PGMOL capituate

A slip like that isn't serious foul play. It was upgraded to a red card because they only showed the ref the footage from after his foot slipped, making it look more serious (to be clear, I don't think this is some anti-Liverpool conspiracy, just poor officiating from VAR). The fact that they had to show it to the ref alone demonstrates that they couldn't even make their mind up about it at Stockley Park.

Agree, he was an idiot, and I think his red should stand for doing that while booked. But if they'd bothered to check it the initial one, he wouldn't have been on a yellow anyway. Re: Mac Allister, it's been announced today. He made a stupid joke about it being 12 vs 9, but given that the PGMOL have admitted they were wrong, and the state of the refereeing in that game, he's not exactly wrong (if he gets a ban he probably deserves it for the reasons you stated, I don't disagree with you)

I don't believe there's a specific conspiracy against Liverpool. I've been arguing with my Liverpool supporting friends all weekend over it. I just think we've been particularly unlucky this season so far - e.g., three of our four red cards this season probably shouldn't have stood (the exception being the Van Disney one). I think what's happening is that the refs have created a situation where they can do what they want, with no consequences, and they've silenced the voices of the managers/players, so they just don't care any more and are completely power-mad.

Based on the club's statement they're going to take it to CAS, so we'll see what happens

I think it's concerning that refs are refereeing in the UAE, given the association with City, but I don't think they're somehow being paid to make poor decision against Liverpool or other clubs to help City.

The only positive of this happening is the club that got hit are by far the whingiest victims in the country and they might actually keep crying until PGMOL capituate
This is just a matter of exposure to fans of X club, you'd think the exact same about [insert club here] if they had an equally large fanbase. Every football supporter is a whiny bellend who thinks their club is particularly hard done by, you clearly just encounter more Liverpool fans than fans of other clubs. I regularly interact with Everton, United, City, and Arsenal fans, and they're just as neurotic as Liverpool fans. Barcelona fans for example, like to portray themselves as the underdogs/good guys against Real Madrid, when they're clearly neither; Jose managed to convince Roma fans that there was a conspiracy against the team to mask their poor form. It's just how football fans are

Jérôme Boateng showed at the FC Bayern training grounds on Sunday and trained with the team. It looks like he is getting signed again (he is without contract or club at the moment).

People are going apeshit bc Boateng got sentenced for assault against his ex gf in 2021. Both his lawyer and the district attorny appealed the verdict, Boateng got sentenced again but his lawyer asked for revision so the whole thing is in waiting line right now which means Bayern is going so sign someone who might have to show up to trial once again during the seaon.

l laughed.

It reminded me of puzzles I used to love solving when I was young. You get a sentence, and you move the commas to change the whole meaning.
