I am happy that Pepi scored for PSV because go go usa but also, now Arsenal have to win to win the group today. So no idea how that will go

Wait, the Pepi who switched to Augsburg like two years ago or so? I heard he went to the Netherlands but I thought it was some mid tier club, not one of their big 3.

He did, but the club was relegated and now he's with PSV.
He was sent on loan to FC Groningen. Apparently he did well enough to stand out from PSV, Ajax, and Feyenoord which got PSV's attention. Apparently enough for 9.8 million from PSV

Onana absolutely fucking shitting the bed is hilarious after the Everton game. For those who didn't see it there were a bunch of people crowing about how, despite the fucking catastrophic start to his Utd run, Onana was technically up there as one of the best keepers in the PL, with joint highest number of clean sheets and second joint highest save percentage + number of saves. Wonder how they feel about it now, especially as the BBC report on the game came with another interesting statistic:
Since 2018-19, he has made the most errors leading to opposition goals by goalkeepers in the Champions League, with seven costly mistakes.

Well here I was worried for Arsenal about nothing. Makes the Pepi goal so much nicer.

Watching the United game highlights again, Onana is at fault for all 3 goals. But the first 2 goals, he can make some excuses. First one he is anticipating it going over the wall. And Ziyech can do that really well so, maybe I understand his thinking but it looks bad if you get beat like that and its entirely on him. Second one, Martial kinda ducks but at least palm it away from the goal man not into it. Third goal was entirely him. Defender did everything right and it was just a hopeful shot to the near post that Onana fucks up.

I know the last round isn't for another 2 weeks but I can't help but go over the only games worth watching for the final weeks.

Group A- While watching United struggle at home to Bayern trying to save their european season would be funny, Copenhagen hosting Galatasaray is the bigger game in this group. Both sit on 5 points and need a win. A tie might put either of them out considering United are a point behind and might win but it also wouldn't be enough for either team. But winner guarantees a spot in the knockouts.

Group B- Lens hosting Sevilla is the game to watch. Lens aren't eliminated per say, but they would need to beat Sevilla while Sevilla winning would put them in Europa League, which spells danger for everyone else in that competition. PSV host Arsenal, with Arsenal already through as group winners. I would expect PSV to get at least a point and go through.

Group C- Napoli Braga is the game to watch. Union could theoretically make it to Europa league by beating Madrid in Berlin, but I doubt it. Napoli need just a point to go through to the knock out stages

Group D- Inter hosting Sociedad is the interesting one. Both teams tied in matchday 5 so the winner at San Siro goes through as group champs and loser is runner up. Salzburg just need to tie a struggling Benfica team in order to make it to Europa league so not that exciting.

Group E- Atletico host Lazio with Madrid up by 1 point. Feyenoord guaranteed Europa league so that game won't be exciting. But at least Group E holds some excitement like Group D does.

Group F- Still all to play for here. Dortmund are through, but they haven't won the group yet. They host PSG, who can win and go top of the group. A tie wouldn't guarantee them a spot in the knock out rounds either so they gotta go for it. Newcastle host Milan and the winner is guaranteed to at least be playing European football next season. The group of death didn't disappoint with excitement, I will give it that.

Group G- Nothing, literally nothing. City win the group, Leipzig are second, and Young Boys are probably europa league unless they get blown out by Leipzig and Red Star somehow beats City.

Group H- Barcelona most likely beat Antwerp but they just need a point to go through. Which means Porto hosting Shakhtar determines who goes through to the round of 16 and who goes to the Europa league. Shocking that Barca made it to the Knockout stages for once.

Top 5 most exciting games imo
1. Newcastle vs Milan
2. Real Sociedad vs Inter
3. PSG vs Dortmund
4. Atletico vs Lazio
5. Copenhagen vs Galatasaray

Sky Sports uploaded a YT video recently for the top 10 wingers in the PL right now and the social media influencers they had on had to deem it based on this current season. They put Jarrod Bowen in 9th place (despite scoring 8 goals and 1 assist in 12 games so far), meanwhile they had Jack Grealish as 6th when he's got 0 goals and 1 assist in 7 games.

How the fuck they decided that is beyond me when I wouldn't even class Grealish as a key player for City right now. They could sell him in January and it wouldn't change anything, whereas Bowen is utilised so well for West Ham right now.

Well, fuck. Now the last game doesn't matter and we have to go into the playoffs with a team from the Europa League. We have been the better team in both matches against PAOK but lost both and in both matches the Greeks acted liked assholes in the end and then cried to the press about the Frankfurt people being pissed.
Fucking hate Greece now. Fucking shithole country.

Idk why Grealish is rated so high this year but Bowen is much more influential right now. I think Grealish is probably a better player but no way he is playing better this season than Bowen. Although, I disagree that him being sold wouldn't effect City. City's squad is spread really thin this year with not much depth. If they still had Cole Palmer, I think Grealish would have been sold. But they are one injury away from calling up U-21 players

Aren't you happy you bailed out those spoiled fucks?

It's impossible not to love Federico Gatti. The guy was apparently working 10 hour days as a brick layer in 2018 while playing in regional leagues. Since 2019, he's gone from playing in Serie D to being a regular starting CB for Juventus. He scored the winner in stoppage time today against Monza, a solid and well coached mid table team. What a beast, grinta personified.

I just don't think we needed to replace Ramsdale to make a push for the premier league and juggle champions league
I watched the match vs Wolves yesterday. I know he brings a lot going forward but Zinchenko is starting to look like a nightmare defensively. Does Arteta move him into the midfield against better teams?

Edit: That's my nigga Kulusevski!!

He is but against more defensive teams, I like him playing outside back. When we know that there will be a lot of possession, I would rather have him instead of a defensive player that wouldn't help us recycle. Allow him and Jorginho to run the pivot and let Rice and Odegaard go further forward. But against better teams, I would prefer Tomiyasu on the left and Ben White on the right.

What a great result for the Spurs City game. Tottenham slide ever further away from top 4 while City don't keep up the points and slip to third. Never trust fulham to beat Liverpool, its impossible. And Brighton have been dropping a lot of points recently. Loss to Chelsea, tie to Sheffield, Everton, and Fulham. Can they not handle European football?

I love PL seasons like this where nobody is running away with it. It's bizarre seeing City in third place while Aston Villa are breathing down their neck.
We are just over a third of the season down and there are a bunch of little races happening that are so much fun.

Arsenal, Liverpool, and City are chasing for the title. Combined into that race is Villa, Tottenham, Newcastle, and (barely hanging on by a pinkie) Man U for the Champions League places. Then you have Newcastle, Man U, Brighton, and West Ham for the Europa League. Brighton, West Ham, Chelsea, and Brentford are chasing Europa Conference League. And then Bournemouth, Forest, Luton, Everton, Burnley, and Sheffield chasing relegation.

I thought the relegation battle was going to be boring this year. Sheffield, Luton, and Burnley all didn't look like they had the quality to survive. But that Everton point hit along with Bournemouth and Forest really getting their quality in their sides get exposed means that there might actually be a race. Can only hope that Wolves, Fulham, Forest, and Bournemouth stay where they are and let Everton, Luton, and Burnley creep up. After that beatdown by Burnley, I think Sheffield are fucked though
