Gregg Berhalter is still a shit manager and should have never been brought back to the USMNT, but he is getting bailed out by Sergino Dest having a nigger moment vs Trinidad and Tobago.
He should have left Reyna in.

Well, fuck.

Holy shit, Honduras got CONCACAF’d with No Vaseline tonight vs Mexico. Mexico needed one more goal to tie aggregate. Ref gave 9 minutes of extra time in the second half. 9 minutes pass, ref decides to give Mexico an extra two minutes for no fucking reason and sure enough, Mexico ties it. Then the ref has the nerve to give a Mexican penalty kicker 3 chances to make a penalty, and swallow his whistle when the Mexican goalkeeper jumps the gun when Honduras missed the last penalty.

fucking awful. I don't think he has won more than a game on the road with qualifications.

Mexico is their baby that they put on the international stage. Can't let teams like Honduras expose how shit they are

Come now - they're not complete shit. They're just tiny little people who think they run faster than reality says they do.

Scandal at Maracanã
Brazilian Police Attacked Argentine Fans and Delayed the Start of The Match

Before the start of the match, local authorities brutally repressed the fans in the stands.
The world champion team withdrew from the stadium, but later returned and started the game.

---

Nov, 21 - Reuters
Argentina captain Lionel Messi accused the Brazilian police of brutality as the start of
their World Cup qualifier against Brazil was delayed by half an hour after clashes
between police and visiting fans at Maracana Stadium on Tuesday.

Brazilian and Argentinian fans started fighting behind one of the goals during the national anthems,
prompting police to charge at the travelling contingent with night sticks drawn.

Some Argentina fans responded by ripping up and throwing seats at the officers
as other fans panicked and came onto the pitch to escape the fighting.
One Argentina fan lay on the pitch with a bloodied face before being taken from the stadium on a stretcher.

The Argentina team, led by Messi, went over to the terraces to try to calm the situation before leaving the pitch and returning to the dressing room.

Before the start of the Playoffs' match, after the national anthems, TV cameras captured the moment
when the Military Police attacked the Argentine fans with great vehemence, and night sticks,
at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

Seeing that the Police did not cease their actions,
Lionel Messi told his teammates to withdraw from the field until the situation normalized.
The Argentine team retreated and was held back by security at the door before entering the locker room.

"It was bad because we saw how they were beating people ... The police, as it already happened in the Libertadores final,
were once again repressing the people with night sticks, there were players who had families over there,"

Messi said in a pitchside television interview.
"We went to the locker room because it was the best way to calm everything down, it could have ended in tragedy."

"You think about the families, the people who are there, who don't know what's going on and we were more concerned about that than playing a match that, at that point, was of secondary importance."

Brazil captain Marquinhos, who could be seen interacting with Messi and the Argentinian players
as they tried to calm the situation, shared the concerns: "We were worried about the families, women and children,
that we were seeing in panic up there in the stands,
" Marquinhos told reporters. "
Down on the pitch it was hard for us to understand what was going on, it was a very scary situation."

On Tuesday, the Argentina players eventually returned, after police corralled the visiting fans
in a pen and the match started after a lengthy delay.

Argentina won 1-0 with a 63rd-minute headed winner from defender Nicolas Otamendi
and celebrated the victory over their fiercest rivals in front of their fans at the same end of the ground where the trouble had occurred.

It was a third straight defeat for five-times World Cup winners Brazil, who had midfielder Joelinton sent off 18 minutes from time."

The entry of the Anvisa authorities to the field in the middle of the match, turned the sports event into an international-repercussion scandal.

Never take anything a Fútbolhead says at face value.

Especially if they are Argentinian (who love to quote Maradona saying: "...and Pelé made his sexual debut with a boy" as an end-all, be-all "winning" argument, seemingly proud of their "debating" skills) or Brazilian (who already showed no qualms in doing whatever deemed as necessary to cancel matches not played as they demand):

These two countries' mobs are proud of the way the Fútbol mentality is ingrained into their culture
and are always ready to put on a shirt. Not to support their teams, but to antagonize their rivals.
The South American pinnacle of mediocrity and the Bread And Circus mentality.

Literally the first time ever we have lost at home on a WC Qualification match.
Not to mention the battle royale that the Argentinian fans provoked at their end of the stadium that delayed the match start and almost canceled it altogether.
Nothing worked out for us yesterday. NOTHING.
Should have gone full attack mode and canceled the match. Would have avoided the humiliation

Wan-Bissaka reportedly in contention to play for DR Congo in January if he wants to do so.

It would be fun to see him play internationally more often, but it means United are stuck with Dalot at right back for the entire time. He's an average player, but we don't have anyone else for that position unless we rely on Lindelof playing out of position again. I can't even remember the last time I saw a fully fit squad.

Arsenal with a win and a big one. Thanks to Liverpool not losing to City at the Etihad means Arsenal goes top of the table for now. Would be fun to see Aston Villa beat Tottenham to see Spurs outside the top 4.

In other news, for some reason the same people who ruled on the Everton case are ruling on the Leicester, Leeds, and Southampton case for not having the point deduction happen last year. Why this is taking so long is just stupid

It doesn't seem that Arsenal have been at their best so far this season and yet here they are top of the table. Very impressive. It's still early and I think January reinforcements are still needed but they are in a very good position.

Edit: What a goal by Garnacho

Someone in London probably just put a bounty on your head.

At least we know it's not Kane. So here is your weekly Kane update: He broke another record this weekend. 18 goals in the first 12 matches. That mark lastet from 1968 and was set by the legendary Gerd Müller.
If Kane keeps this pace he will score above 50 goals this season which would be outright insane and even more insane bc the current record holder is Robert Lewandowski (41 goals in one season after beating the former record who was also hold by Gerd Müller).

In other news: Tuchel managed to create a lot of sperging bc Bayern played on Friday and in the press conference before the game Tuchel raged about his players having too many matches and not enough time to rest just for Tuchel later in the game not substituting one single player and have all 11 guys playing the full 90 minutes. The last time a Bayern coach did this was like 13 years ago or so.

If Arsenal can beat Lens at home (which shouldn't be too hard of a task), and stay relatively close to the top of the table if not on top, still have to play Villa, Brighton, and Liverpool before January, then I could see them going really big with January transfer window. They are actually in a good financial position atm thanks to their good FFP standings.

(Decent explanation)

Lol that's so spursy

What's impressive is that he didn't beat Pickford with the power of the bike. He placed it perfectly in the top corner

"Perhaps winning wouldn't have been beneficial" is not something you want to hear a manager say after a derby lol

Def not a good look, but I get what he is trying to say here. You guys are 2 points behind Inter at the top and with the point, you have a 4 point gap over AC Milan in 4th. You also don't ruin anything with the season by taking a loss here. But, like his playstyle, he fucked up this interview
