I bloody hope so. Imagine the US and English media dealing with them (assuming the conflict lasts until the WC) in the same group?Well..surely Wales will beat Ukraine?
So much English salt if they finish third behind US/Wales. I kind of hope that happens.I bloody hope so. Imagine the US and English media dealing with them (assuming the conflict lasts until the WC) in the same group?
Edit: Plus Iran would likely give them enough points to qualify, because I have no faith in the US coming second.
Frankly I think USA may actually top the group with Iran nabbing second if the weather is too much for the Brits/Eastern Euros. I await the unveiling of the mythical "cooling system" they apparently have for the stadiums. So much English salt if they finish third behind US/Wales. I kind of hope that happens.
You expect too much from the Scottish Football Team. That team is cursed to disappoint. No one here believes in them to do well without fucking up near the end. Like cheering on children with broken legs in a three-legged race. They will catch up after someone's misfortune but they will never finish and the team they passed through will overtake them.I really hope Scotland beat Ukraine today. From the perspective of a USA supporter I don't want us playing an energized Ukraine in our World Cup opener.
No need to dismantle. Just recognize you are on the same level as teams like Andorra and LichtensteinScotland lost to a Ukraine that hasn't had a competitive match for months now, a Ukraine that has players who haven't been able to train properly for months thanks to the Ukrainian league being paused. At this point Scotland should straight up disband their national team.
Italy need a full reload at this point. Argentina look good thoughThere was also the "Finalissima" match between Euro champs Italy and South America champs Argentina. A glorified friendly, but still pitted the two relevant continental champs nonetheless. The latter creamed the former 3-0.
In the meantime, how does Brazil prepare for the World Cup? By steamrolling the all-powerful South Korea.
Italy's performance showed how much they relied on Chiesa offensively in the Euros. Especially when he's on the right side, the guy is just magic.Italy need a full reload at this point. Argentina look good though

You and the rest of the world. It was literally conceived earlier this year. I myself only knew of it the day before it was held.Am I the only one who had never heard of "Finalissima" until this year?

Finalissima happened last in 93 I believe between Argentina and Denmark. It was something that stopped and was brought up again because of how schedules just worked out this year. I hope they keep doing it though. Its a fun friendly at leastYou and the rest of the world. It was literally conceived earlier this year. I myself only knew of it the day before it was held.
And from what I read, it's supposed to kinda-sorta fill the gap of the old Confederations Cup.
Italy could be really good in a few years if they bring the youngsters through correctlyItaly's performance showed how much they relied on Chiesa offensively in the Euros. Especially when he's on the right side, the guy is just magic.
They do need a full reboot though. There are some promising younger players coming up. Sandro Tonali, imo, has big time potential as a central midfielder. I'd like to see Locatelli-Tonali-Barella as the starting midfield going forward. Then maybe something like a Raspadori-Zaniolo-Chiesa front 3 if they can turn big Z into an out and out striker.
The backline is the biggest question mark atm. There are solid centerbacks like Bastoni and Mancini to fill void Chiellini and Bonucci are leaving behind but the fullback situation is worrying.
And of course Donnarumma is an absolute beast and still only 23.
That one guy is alright
