Yet again Soufgate's cowardball causes England to lose to a low block team. A half decent manager would have a plan B to change to but obviously thats beyond him
Thank god Hungary did exactly what everyone expected and gave the media something to wail about instead of scrutinizing the manager who does the same thing every match and comes unstuck against weaker opposition every time
 
Mourinho linked to PSG, could he be the man to break their Champions League curse? Anything less would be an entertaining trashfire.

It's not been about BLM for over a year now since BLM england got hit with the classic unpersoning stick of 'antisemitism'. Now its about a nebulous 'discrimination' so now you cant criticize its origins or lack of meaning. Nothing really seems to be able to stop it either, even black players who refuse to do it for the reason its disingenuous and fake get hushed up and ignored by the press

It does seem like the booing of it was kind of kept quiet, just the one article on bbc sport and all mentions of it on the livethreads getting negrated so maybe even they're realising it's not just the evil johnny foreigner who's sick of it

I still don't understand xG, and I refuse to give it the time of day. At the end of the day it's a prediction, and you could just as well use a pair of fucking eyeballs and predict that a team or player will score a goal based on recent form and the flow of a game.
 
xG implies that football is mechanical and that all chances are completely equal therefore the team that blasted 6 balls directly at the keeper are more "deserving" of a win than the team that had one real shot on target and scored. It's a way of rewarding wasteful sides by saying they are actually better than they are and using pseudoscience to imply that teams even themselves out over a season.

It's confirmation bias based on "surely this lucky run won't last forever", until it actually does and the team wins the league out of nowhere like Leicester.
 
The whole "Kids are booing the English for takibg a knee reeeeeeeeeeeeee" thing only works if you are a dumbfuck and ignore that there were not only kids in the stadium.

Hungary used a loop hole in UEFA's set of rule. Kids are excluded from bans but for a kid to enter a stadium they had to be with one adult.

Fucking activists and their bullshit narratives.

Under normal circumstances, a nation making their first World Cup since 1958 would be quite the Cinderella story. Either way the English press is going to seethe because they’d have to play either Wales or Ukraine, who have their own distinct reasons for hating the English.
 
Finally, the English press can shut the fuck up about the 21/22 Liverpool squad being the greatest club side in human history and Ukraine being the heckin loveable victims beating the evil Grey Pouton through the power of Zinchenko's krokodil tears and football. Been a good week with these tired narratives being put to rest, I must say.
