Alright, so who wins today? Liverpool can finally start shooting up the table with a win but I am pulling for United based on the fact that they will jump above Liverpool in the table with a win
Liverpool. So United end up hiring Paul Ince or something retarded as the next "project" manager

You think Ten Haag won't get a few years to try and save this United team only to end up giving up and saying its impossible?
In a League that is hyper reactionary over the smallest of blips? Certainly. That and the fact that the yanks that own large stakes in United would be upset at "the franchise" losing brand value as constant negative media is circulated about it. Come this weekend, at least four teams can reach double digit points. Whereas United could be double digits in negative goal difference.

While I want that to happen so United can suck some more, they really should just stick it out for a while. They need to move on this deadwood and start developing an identity that can develop young talent and pick off young talent from other clubs. United are in the position Arsenal were in for years

Looks like some fun protests happening around Old Trafford. Of course, the media can't allow genuine expressions of emotion, so they're pretending to be offended by United fans singing about the Glazers dying instead.

Remember, millionaire athletes protesting = good. The people that pay their wages protesting = bad.
I would rather the media just cover how retarded Man United fans are personally but that would also require them to cover how retarded it was to take the knee so...

They used to take 10 minutes to find any reason like a fingernail to rule a goal offside, but they get through the check that quick for Lunchford's goal? He looked offside to me judging by past calls on what constitutes an offside in Premier League refs eyes.

Liverpool are shit tonight either way though. Don't deserve a point.

Has Klopp finally burned out at Liverpool? People shouldn't forget the complet shit fest that was his last season at Dortmund.

tl;dr: 17th at winter break, still managed to bounce back in the second half of the season and reach place 7 but still very disappointing overall.

Idk if its necessarily Klopp. I think the back line is just nowhere near as good as it was in previous seasons coupled with the fact that Diaz and Nunez aren't replacing what Mane had. Plus they don't have Origi to bring off the bench and just grab a stupid goal to bail them out. Their midfield was always the weak spot of this team and they have Keita and Thiago out injured right now. No idea why they played Milner over Fabinho as well. Liverpool might need to bring in a couple of signings or they will have a very slow start

to be fair he was missing 10 players yesterday
liverpool should of won, too many scrappy opportunities fumbled
They were unironically worse than united for the entirety of the match, to say they deserved to win is delusion

Granted, Bruno should have been sent off for being a diving poncy fag

I would say Liverpool have been terrible for the opening 3 weeks of the season and that they are missing a lot of key players. Idk how many points they drop before their squad gets to full strength, if it ever does, but they might end up losing the league if they don't start rolling by week 8 or 9

Welp, I'm kinda worried about São Paulo's chances tomorrow. It is the domestic Cup's semifinals against Flamengo., and they somehow mounted one hell of a team since their failure in the Rio State Championship, easily their best since 2019. Even the B-team managed to beat Corinthians' main squad a few rounds ago. And of course, they'll go all-in tomorrow.

Ah well, at least we can still win the Sudamericana. It speaks levels about the state of South American footy that such a middling and inconsistent team like São Paulo is the favorite to win it.

liverpool had some very strong spells during the end of the first and second half
brunos lucky he didnt boot the ball into his own goal and there were several occasions where it was just scrappy defending, liverpool couldve and shouldve poked one of them in
