Major props have to be given to the US team. From back to front, the entire game-plan was perfect even with the amount of fouls flying too and forth. Compressed the midfield, kept traffic away from the wings thought-out the first half. Yet that stupid penalty basically ruined a fantastic chance to reach the knockouts (because Iran is an instant win at this point) and showcase the sport to a nation that continues to flake on the concept of "Soccer" as a whole. Especially with how dire the Netherlands looked earlier this evening. I'd feel way more confident in USA beating them to go further.

Wales are gonna have to stat-pad against Iran, because I cannot see this team doing anything but parking the bus against England to try and deny them any hope of qualifying too.

GOD DAMNIT THAT GAME WAS FRUSTRATING AS FUCK

We dominated the first half but couldn't do shit because our attack consists of Weah doing something from the right wing and Pulisic deciding to pass the ball instead of dribble from half to the 18. And then our chicken shit MLS coach decided that dominating the game in the second half would be tough so lets have everyone drop back and hope that Wales doesn't do anything. Oh look at that, our MLS defender decided to run through a guy in the area and give up a penalty. I know how we can get back in this game. Sub on 3 more MLS players. That should do the trick.

US Soccer needs to put its foot down and demand that no more than 2 MLS players are allowed on these 26 man rosters because that was dog shit. And Berhalter needs to stop taking inspiration from fucking Southgate and start attacking. If I see our center forward defending at the top of our box again when we have a 1-0 lead, I am gonna fly to Qatar and inform the police that he is a trans gay man so this can stop

The Moore substitution at half time was a game changer, it seemed like everything went through him down the right hand side.
The US really wasted a lot of opportunities in the first half when they got down the right wing because no one was making any runs on the outside of the box or overlapping with the winger. Most of the times they got down there they just ended up with a lazy cross that either hit the first man or never made it to an American head. When Wales were able to keep possession in the 2nd half the US seemed content to let them have it because they were up, not pressuring as hard as they were in the first. I wouldn't say they played particularly badly but maybe tactical mistakes were made.

Also Bale played terrible apart from the penalty.
