Stratospheric levels of gatopardismo so far. Not even one surprise, literally everything that we knew it would happen it's happening fuck. I don't even have hopes for Portugal or Spain embarrassing themselves anymore. Well at the very least all the quarter finals matches are very spicy.
 
This is becoming an inverse of the Mineiraço (Germany 7 Brazil 1). I don't much care for it and think it's safe to turn it off now.
 
Maybe Xhaka and Shaqiri can pretend that playing Portugal is like playing Serbia again. In which case, the Swiss might have a chance.

It is surprising to me because I have always remembered the South Koren team to be fast and dangerous, even when they don't advance.

This team is going far, I'm telling you. But something tells me their only real test will be against Netherlands in the semis. I really don't see Croatia making much of an effort against us. They could press on, but victory is sure.

Another good side of Brazil's success is that the local sports journos aren't eating crow - They are swallowing it whole with feathers and all. I've never seen them so subdued when covering the NT in a World Cup before, all because they got exposed last year as a bunch of turncoat hacks.
 
I watched the match with my grandpa, uncle and cousin, it was really fun, first time in the whole cup where it was fun to watch my country's match.

They really stopped after the fourth goal, hey could score more if they wanted, but there was no reason to.

I am calmer than before, even more when croatia played 30 minutes more than us, so lets hope everything goes alright

This is the most talented Brazilian team in 20 years but it's still all about Neymar. Compare this to the game against Switzerland where the rest of the starting 11 was pretty much the same. Having him in that roaming number 10 role with all those dangerous attacking players around him makes Brazil seem unplayable. Imagine if England somehow make the final and they have to play Brazil, Southgate will park the bus like no one has ever seen before.
 
Perisic has been absolutely immense for Croatia and one of the standout performers in the tournament. He's one of those players who never seemed to get the credit he deserved despite being fairly persistently productive and now that he's 33, it's about time he gets it. Granted, he has to have been appreciated for his performances and stellar output at Inter but I'd sooner chew on a dead man's rectum than look into Italian footy, let alone watch it.
