Why was Fulham’s penalty disallowed? Something to do with it coming off Mitrovic’s other foot? Doesn’t that mean it should be retaken?

I thought they were after Raphina since Barca are, once again, totally fucking broke.
I think Arsenal should go for Vlahovic, they need a striker more than a winger atm. He probably feels like a retard for choosing Juve last winter and is desperate to get out. Even in their current state, I don't think Barca will give up on a player they signed 6 months ago. And unlike Juve, Barca players actually want to stay because they believe in the sporting project.

It was a double kick. Unlike encroachment or the keeper coming off the line, that is considered a foul and free kick for the defending team. If you ever see a penalty that hits the post and the penalty taker hits it again, its the same rule.

Other transfer news of note

Arsenal loaned out Arthur Okonkwo to Sturm Graz. I thought it was interesting because I thought Arsenal recently played them but apparently they haven't played in a while ( I think) despite the fact they are both europa league staples

Jhon Duran was transferred from Chicago Fire to Aston Villa. Good to see another young south american talent go into europe from MLS. This might be the way the MLS becomes a better league, by taking the spot of Portugal, Greece, Ukraine, and lower Italian teams by being the landing spot for south american talent before moving to bigger leagues

Jayden Braaf was loaned out to Verona from Dortmund with an option to buy. Not all Man City talent that goes to Dortmund succeeds.

Bournemouth signed Dango Ouattara from Lorient. The 20 year old is trying it out in a relegation battle but 20 mil is 20 mil

Nottingham forest have signed 21 year old Brazilian Danilo from Palmeiras. More bodies to throw at the relegation battle

Wolves have signed Pablo Sarabia from PSG for 4.4 million. Amazing how he came so cheap and I wonder if that was just a special Wolves price or if other teams could have gotten him

Helps that Foley own's both clubs, eh?
I didn't realize he owned both of them. I think he is only a minority shareholder though but still, pretty neat. A lot of teams are following this City/Watford style model where they own a smaller club in europe somewhere and feed players to their big club. Its not a bad way to invest but they have to figure out a way to combine their youth development so these players could count as home grown players in England and the other country

More transfer knews

- Arsenal have contacted Leverkusen over Mousa Diaby but Leverkusen want £89milliom
(Neverkusen about to scam another london side)
-Southampton working to sign Nicolas Jackson from Villareal for £17 million
-Everton, Bournemouth and Forest are in talks to sign Danjuma
-Fulham in talks to sign Cedric Soares from Arsenal

Side question: on reflection why did AFTV and its cast of misfits never get a thread here? They seemed, at their peak, to be prime lolcow material.

So this happened on the BBC right before kick off for Liverpool v Wolves.

According to Gary Lineker someone taped a phone to the back of the set and set it to play the sound on repeat.

I didn't even know Dortmund has this guy in their team. First time that I hear/read his name lol
I figured a few more of those youth talents from City went abroad to try and get into a first team somewhere instead of trying to become a Foden at City. I bet there are more of those players out there that we just don't know of yet

Rumour mill:

The Telegraph is reporting Garnacho is close to signing a new long term deal.

Everton are panicking to bring in a striker, so far rumours suggest they have contacted:
Lyon over Moussa Dembele (1 goal in 14...)
Bologna for Marko Arnautovic
Villareal for Arnaut Danjuma (rumour is he is due in England this week for talks)

Everton are also still running with the story they received credible threats to board safety. Merseyside police have confirmed that they have not received any complaints relating to safety nor consulted on the threats. (Kenwrite gaslighting again)

Juventus are interested in signing Chris Smalling on a free from Roma. Unclear if they also intend to bring in Phil Jones as well.

West Ham is interested in signing Harry Maguire on loan until the end of the season.

Atletico are reportedly closer to signing Depay after agreeing personal terms.

Gerrard has been snubbed for the Poland job.

Chelsea are trying to gazump Tottenham for Leandro Trossard (as Chelsea are drastically short of wingers)

Wolves have confirmed signing Sarabia for £4.4million.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has declared he is keen to buy Manchester United. Its looking likely this will be as part of a consortium with Lewis Hamilton allegedly part of the bid.

TIL about Carlos Henrique Raposo or better know as Carlos Kaiser.

During the 80s he managed to get one contract after another with different Brasilian teams but never actually played one single game bc he was actually a pretty shitty player.

The story goes like this:

Kaiser was a good looking guy and looked like the twin brother of another actual player, Renato Gaucho. So people sometimes mistook Kaiser for Gaucho which opened some doors for Kaiser. He was with Flamengo in his youth and from there Mexican club Puebla invited him for a training session and then signed him. But he never made a single game for Puebla and got sold to Botafogo.

From there on Kaiser faked injuries whenever it was needed or he was expected to play. Kaiser only ever got very short contracts so he could pull off his fake injuries easily.

Meanwhile Kaiser befriended several other real players and journos. Whenever Kaiser needed to find a new team he contacted his friends who tried to help him and use their contacts.
The journos wrote fluff pieces with the most absurd stories about the achievements of Kaiser.

So with actual players as friends and their contacts and the fluff pieces in the backhand he was able to find new club after new club bc it was the 80s and there was no internet to backcheck stories.
Allegdly Kaiser also bought a fake mobile phone and faked calls with people from other high profile clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, clubs from Italy and shit. During these fake calls Kaiser rejected the offers from all the other clubs. He always did this in ear-sight of his team mates and club officials to make sure they hear everything and get impressed by how important Kaiser seemed to be.

Allegedly he had these phone calls in a weird fake-English bc he actually didn't speak English nor most of the other people at this time.
One story is that one time during one these fake calls he got caught by a team doctor who actually spoke fluent English and called Kaiser out.

Another story is that one time Kaiser entered a club, counting on people to mistake him for Gaucho. But the bouncer denied Kaiser the entry bc Gaucho was already in the club and partying.

It seems like Kaiser very often used the fact that people mistook him for Gaucho thus getting free drinks, free food and free stuff everywhere - and women. A quote of Kaiser is that he "banged more women than Pele scored goals".

The more I dig into his story the more bizarre, absurd and outright funny stories I discover. They even did a movie about him and his scams and I need to this now.

Total mad lad. Deserves a ballon d'ore of honor or something like this.

Salernitana, after losing 8-2 to Atalanta, fired their head coach. Then they looked for a coach who would be familiar with the squad and had a proven track record of avoiding relegation. And the only candidate who fit the bill was their old coach. So they rehired him after 48 hours

The state of Italian football

They also don't have Casemiro for the Arsenal game. Would love to see United go from "Title challengers" to "Will they hold onto the top 4 position" within a week
Pundits and commentators sucking off United always gets under my skin. Post match commentary rated United above City and Arsenal, it’s baffling when they’re a game ahead and have had a relatively easy run of it. Looking forward to Arsenal winning and United going into freefall down the table. I’d even like to see Newcastle take over United, Ten Haag looks like the kind of guy who would lose his mind in the dugout.

Chiesa saving Allegri again with a beautiful goal on a curling shot alla Del Piero.

Allegri has spent most of this game dropping back and giving possession to Monza - a club who have been in existence for over a century but are currently playing their first season in Serie A.

I hate this man and what he's done to this once great club.

Since yesterday was the 1st month anniversary of Messi being the GOAT.

Today it was Ronaldo to face off against Messi.

Messi's team won in the end though both subbed themselves off at the same time of 60 minutes with the PSG leading the Arabs at 4-3 at that time.

Game was being shown on Bein Sports.

And some videos.
