Union Berlin is back at losing again. They lost 4:0 against Leverkusen and now Union is ranked 18th. When was the last time a team played Champions League while being last in their own national league?

I think Liverpool did a really good job revamping their midfield during the transfer window. Gravenbach-Mac Allister-Szoboszlai could potentially be one of the best in Europe. They might just need a little more time playing together. Arsenal needs to add a striker in January. I'm hoping one of these clubs can stop City.
A center forward seems to be hard to come by nowadays. If only there was an English forward from Arsenal's academy who recently switched allegiances to the US that we could put up top...

I bet there is a French team that has done this before. Seems like a French move

Juve might be trying to sell Vlahovic again this winter. As much as I'd hate to see him go, it's frustrating having to watch such talented forwards go to waste under Allegri's disgraceful tactics. There's already rumors about bringing Morata back to replace him.

Edit: There are also rumors of Osimhen leaving Napoli this January. He wants to go to Ingurlund cause they are nice to Africans.

I wonder if Arsenal gets back in the hunt if he becomes available

To fucking whom? United are broke, Liverpool are strapped for cash, Chelsea can't afford anyone, Spurs don't like to spend money, City have Haaland and Alvarez. So would it be Arsenal, who aren't interested as far as I know

So I was reading a BBC Sport article about United barely scraping by Luton. Aside from the absolute fucking cope about how they're actually in good form (they're really fucking not), there was a bit that sounded so outlandish I legit had to go check if it was true:
United's strikeforce - Marcus Rashford, Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony Martial, Antony - has scored one league goal between them so far this season.
The absolute and unironic fucking state of this team.

I think Hojlund is actually a pretty good player. He should have stayed at Atalanta for another season to develop.

Osimhen is a monster and would fit in nicely at Arsenal imo. Maybe they'll realize they need a striker if they drop enough points before January.

He should have gone somewhere that could help develop him in Europe. Would have loved to see him go to Real Madrid though. That would have been funny but also might have fixed what little problems they have with a CF.

Its not that they wouldn't use him or he wouldn't fit in because he absolutely would. Its the price tag. I don't see Arsenal shelling out another 100m for a non english player after spending so much on Rice, despite the fact that Rice has probably been the best player on the team this year

United's PL topscorer is Scott McTominay, a man whose position is 'somewhere in the midfield' because he certainly has no clue what his best role is

It'd be like Liverpool having Thiago as topscorer

Isnt Mctominay a Defensive Midfielder ?

Spicy scenes in Brazil on Sunday.

During a Brazilian Serie A game between Gremio and Corinthians, Corinthians director of football Alessandro Nunes and several other staff members attempted to storm the VAR room after a VAR check overturned an early penalty to Corinthians and instead resulted in one of their own players (Bruno Mendez) being given a straight red card. The ordeal was captured on camera:

That's where Ole played him along with Fred. When he was younger he was a CAM. So Ole's double pivot didnt have a single DM in it. In truth, he's probably best as a b2b, someone who makes a late run into the box or a desperate tackle on a breaking counter. Something perfect for a passion-merchant
He's basically a utility midfielder. Someone who doesn't have enough skill to run the midfield and someone who doesn't have enough tactical awareness to play as a pivot/defensive midfielder. But he has just enough to be able to plug in somewhere and do a job for a game or two along with potentially being a super sub. He fits in well with a team that wants to throw a bunch of people in the midfield, like United, to plug up the midfield instead of getting lots of space to play. I think he would do well at a place like West Ham or Crystal Palace

Pretty much. West Ham already have one in Tomas Soucek but I think Moyes was after McTominay in the summer

Union Berlin and their coach Urs Fischer ended their relation.

He was literally the best coach they've ever had. Ungrateful swine. Same goes for Leicester for sacking Ranieri way back when.

Also, Adidas showed off the new ball design for the Euro.

Looks like shit, but knowing Adidas, it somehow could have been much, much worse.

With the way Moyes plays and the European demands, he could have used a few more. Especially without Rice this year.

Union Berlin and their coach Urs Fischer ended their relation. We are 11 matchdays in this season and this is already the 3rd team switching their head coach after FC Augsburg and Mainz 05.
I wonder who they get. Its not like everyone plays their style.

I don't hate it design wise. But it has weird grooves so I don't know how the movement of the ball will go

I don't know the correct English term for it but both sides agreed on ending their relationships. It's not like he got kicked out.

And yes, it was the best coach Union so far had but tbh it was only a matter of time now that his stint might end soon.

- From 11 games in Bundesliga Union won the first two matches and then lost 9 in a row. They are 18th out of 18 teams at the moment with only 6 points.

- Out of four CL matches they lost three in a row and then got a draw. The chances for Union to at least place 3rd in their CL group are slim which means no money coming in from European competition after the winter break.

- They got kicked out of DFB Cup in the 2nd round. So no more money coming in from this competition.

- Another issues besides the huge loss streak is that Union barely manages to score goals. In Bundesliga they have 11 goals scored in 11 matches. That's one goal per game. They are on par with Mainz (16th) and Bochum (14th). Only Cologne (17th) is worse with only 9 goals scored so far.

- Union also has the 2nd worst defence in BL right now, being on par with Heidenheim (13th). It's the 1st ever BL season for Heidenheim tho. Only Darmstadt (15th) has a worse defence with 32 goals catched. Darmstadt is playing only their 2nd BL season ever and both Darmstadt and Heidenheim got relegated this year.
The defence was Union's main strenght during the last seasons.

tl;dr: Union is playing their 1st CL season ever while probably missing any further European competion and while competing with two newbie teams about not being relegated to 2nd BL.

And right now is good moment to get a new coach on board bc of the league and international break. Especially for Union bc their next league match is against Augsburg.

Augsburg sacked their coach three weeks ago. Since then they got a win and two draws. But the most important thing is that in all three matches Augsburg catched the first goal(s) and they always made a comeback. So they are on a little streak right now. Augsburg doesn't have the better squad than Union but at the moment Augsburg is 10th with only 4 losses out of 11 matches. So even with Augsburgs being 7 points ahead of Union Augsburg is still a team that Union must beat and Union's interim coach has now 10 days to prepare the team instead of only 2 or 3 days.

Mainz hasn't got a new coach so far but with their interim coach they got their 1st win this season in his 1st match - out of all teams it was against RB Leipzig (4th). Last weekend Mainz at least got a draw.

RabonaTV just released a video about Jeremy Doku that's pretty informative. I couldn't help but laugh thinking of how Jack Grealish fits into all this.

> be Jack Grealish
> get noticed by Pep after an impressive Euro 2020
> babble some liberal garbage to the media after your black teammates choke in the final
> city buys you for 100M
> struggle a bit in your first season
> become a key player in your second season
> british media laps up your dim-witted personality
> british media starts to soyface over you "omg, best winger in the world"
> win the treble
> be a drunken fool for 3 weeks. everyone thinks it funny and wholesome
> ffw to start of the next season
> wtf why did they sign this Doku guy at the end of the transfer window?
> it's cool, he's probably the natural replacement for Mahrez on the right
> wtf why is he starting over me?
> tfw you've been replaced by a younger, faster and more dynamic player.
