This was pointed out in a podcast I was listening to this week but the Onana transfer might be one of the worst this season. And its not his fault. United bought him to be a ball playing goalkeeper and were willing to move on from De Gea, who was a much better traditional keeper. But has Onana been playing and keeping possession of the ball with United? United get pressured and they just give Onana the ball to play it long. They just actively made United worse with this transfer. They took the downside of Onana without using his upside and spent 50 mil that could have been put elsewhere

Damn B is stacked.

And the not relegation behind the scenes video from Vasco ans Bahia are out, two kinos, it feels like they won the title.

bahia behind the scenes
I actively rooted for both teams to remain in Série A.

Bahia because they've got Rogério Ceni at the helm, and because next year they will face their rivals Vitória once more in the top level. Those matches are almost always absolute kino.
And Vasco because I took pity on them. Once a legit powerhouse of our footy, they would have been relegated for the fifth time - And this time, in spite of having a huge-ass investment from their SAF. I sure hope they get their shit together for next year. Flamengo and Fluminense are both coming back stronger than ever, and I bet Botafogo will also learn some lessons from their absolute meltdown.

As someone who watched him closely in Serie A last season, it's shocking how badly he's done at United. He was probably the main reason Inter were able to make their champions league run. There were moments in knockout rounds where he was literally carrying them on his back. Now this season, he's shit. I guess it's down to Inter being more organized defensively.

Oh yeah, thats the other thing. You are giving him a shit defense as well. De Gea isn't a ball playing gk and probably would have struggled at Inter. But he really can save you if your defense sucks ass, like Uniteds. Onana would be a good goalkeeper for United if they had taken Ten Haag's formula and become a team that can play out of the back but that's in a few years. Wasting 50 mil when there are many other positions that need reinforcements is a terrible move

Not something you want to see when betting on football, especially if you're a woman

Juve host Napoli this Friday, that game should be interesting.
It wasn't that interesting, 1-0 Juve. Gatti with the winner again :story:

Vlahovic took a knock and I'd have half a mind to start Gatti at striker if he's forced to miss time lol.

I watched a video of some German guys who are running a football focused YT channel/podcast and they did a short video fanfictioning about Mbappe maybe joining FC Bayern and for some reason I now want it to happen. Just imagine the offensive then. Sane on the right wing, Kane in the center, Mbappe on the left wing with Musiala behind them.

Glad tho it's just fiction bc my boys are going to face Bayern tomorrow. At the moment we have a down but we also have a history of fucking with Bayern. And a history of getting butchered by them. So either we win 1:0 or get our ass handled and loose like 8:0.

And we have Leverkusen (1st) vs Stuttgart (3rd) and Leipzg (4th) vs Dortmund (5th) this weekend.

Top of the league until Inter play Udinesse. What a wild time it is to be a Juve fan
Juventus are 14th in the league in time of possession. The defending is solid for the most part but I don't think this is sustainable for a scudetto run.
We are FC Bayern now.
Based. I was watching a bit of the second half then switched to watch United get wrecked by Bournemouth. Bruno just got a booked for arguing and now will miss the Liverpool match :story:

Speaking of, that brings us to today's episode of weird and/or depressing stats I get to read about after they lose:
His side have now suffered seven defeats in 16 league games. In all competitions they have lost as many matches - 11 - as they have won. They have been beaten 3-0 three times at home.

I'm honestly not sure where United go from here. You can't get rid of the overpriced, overpaid shitters on the field (because who the fuck would take them?), but even if they ditch Ten hag I'm not sure any other manager would do any better because it's pretty clear the players have lost all interest, and I don't see how anyone gets that back at this point.

Well, well, well ...

Just in time to put a foot up Bayern's ass and make them bounce back next game. Gotta knock United out of Europe.

Probably not but its easily enough to get you guys in top 4

True, but only due to lack of serious competition. Roma has actually looked pretty decent lately. If they're able to beat Fiorentina today, it will be interesting to see if they can be a contender. Milan looking very poor without Leao.

Maybe Onana was shit all along and it was Inter's defense making him look good.

The quarter finals for DFB cup have been announced.

Bayer Leverkusen vs VfB Stuttgart, which we saw today in Bundesliga and ended 1:1. Pretty sure that whoever wins here will win the cup in the end.

FC Saarbrücken gets another chance to kill a Bundesliga club as they are facing Borussia M'gladbach. Gladbach is 10th and is on a loss one, win one streak so there is really a chance for Saarbrücken to slay a big one.

Two 2. Bundesliga clashes:

Hertha BSC vs Kaiserslautern
Hertha started weak in the season but are currently climbing up the ranks while Kaiserslautern started strong but fell hard and is fighting relegation (not the good one). Also the final of DFB cup will be held traditionally in Hertha's home stadion.

FC St. Pauli vs Düsseldorf
That's the 1st ranked vs the 5th ranked, only 5 points are between both teams. Pauli still hasn't lost a game this season (16 games undefeated).

Just another result for you to start hoping again lol
