One of the best players of all time Franz "Der Kaiser" Beckenbauer (78years old) died yesterday.

He won the European Cup (now Champions League) 3 times in a row, the Euro Cup as player and the World Cup as coach, won several times Bundesliga and DFB cup as player and coach and not only with FC Bayern but also with Hamburger SV, won nearly every other international trophy at the time, played together with Pele in a team in New York, got 6 gorillion different player of the year/decade/century awards, got a shitload of German civil awards, invented the libero position, brought the world cup tournament to Germany in 2006, got caught in a corruption scandal but got off scots free, got bribed by Russia but nobody cared, made five kids, one where he cheated on his wife and once got the legendary mobile phone number 0176/ 666 666 which had to be deactivated bc it got spammed with calls by guys who thought it's a sex hotline.
What an absolute madlad.

The bad vibes in Naples continues, with the agent of Kvaratskhelia telling a newspaper that Osimhen will play in the Saudi league next season while his client will go on to a big European club. Osimhen responded by calling the guy "a piece of filth"

It's gonna be awkward once Osimhen returns from the Africa Cup of Nations, assuming he's not moved before then.

I wonder if Osimhen had some transfers that came in over the summer but Napoli didn't want to sell and now he is pissed off at the club and everyone involved

Has anyone seen the story about Sadio Mane marrying his long-time partner who is currently 19? So he was basically grooming a child throughout his mid to late 20s but no one cares because he's a black Muslim? Interesting

Jaden Sancho is going back to Dortmund on loan (no buy option). Bc Dortmund has such a good track record with bringing back former players (they don't).

Speaking of Dortmund they installed two new co-coaches who are supposed to help their main coach Terzic: Nuri Sahin and Sven Bender.

Nuri Sahin has a history with Dortmund at age 16. He spent a few years there, went to Real Madrid and went back to Dortmund for another few years. He won Bundesliga and the DFB cup each once with Dortmund.
Sahin has been coach in Turkey the last few years and his role is supposed to improve Dortmunds offensive.

Sven Bender also has a history with Dortmund. He spent 8 years there and won Bundesliga back to back in 2011 and 2012 and won two DFB cups with Dortmund.
Bender was coach for the German U17 team and his quality is his character. Basically you will find absolutely no one who has any bad thing to say about Bender. His role is supposed to improve the relation between the team and coach Terzic.

Terzic, who is with Dortmund for like 400 years now, became head coach while he was co-coach under Marco Rose (now head coach of RB Leipzig) when Rose got fired.

So let this sink in: They have a head coach who has a long history with Dortmund and who got relegated from co-coach to head coach and who has now two new co-coaches who both have a history with Dortmund. That's how you undermine your head coach while you undermine at least 2-3 other (new) players because you bring back some player who has a history with Dortmund and sucks at his current team in Manchester.

Sort of surprised there's been no big rumours coming out about Palhinha given the fiasco that happened in the summer. Literally on the verge of signing for Bayern in the last day of the transfer window and the whole thing collapsed, with the player left furious after being eager to leave Fulham. He's continued to do well with them regardless and he's seen as one of the top midfielders in the PL right now but I've heard no updates about him at all.

There's nothing actually agreed with Bayern yet, and other than a few mentions of him getting interest from some clubs there's been nothing about him rumour-wise. Not that I want fake rumours floating around, but you'd think given the situation and the likelihood that he'll be leaving in the summer (at least), some shit journalists could at least muster up some dramatic update about him for clicks.

Hasn't he extended his contract with Fulham? I think I have read something like this a few weeks/months ago. Anyways, hiss name never really came up again in the Bayernsphere after the transfer imploded.

Speaking of FC Bayern: the whole summer and first half of the season one of the most present topics was that they need a "holding 6". Tuchel went really apeshit about a missing holding 6 at times but somehow nobody is mentioning a holding 6 now for quite some time. "Holding 6" as a term has somewhat become an object of mockery here in the press and among fans bc of how often Bayern and Tuchel threw that term around.

And in other Bayern news: Eric Dier from Tottenham showed up in Munich today.

Oh wow he did a few months ago! Until 2028 too. Looks like Fulham will get a decent price for him then when he does go.

Still not sure how to feel about this. 3.5m on a permanent deal isn't too bad, but surely they could've gotten someone better after the Dragusin option fell through.

I will give this one to Dortmund. United are basically paying to get rid of him for the rest of the season. If he turns out to be a cancer on the team, no loss. But if he is any good, you pay nearly nothing for him.

Eric Dier sign for Bayern on loan from Spurs

Spurs then signed Dragusin from Genoa

In Ange we trust. He will win the premiere league in the next few years mark my words.

Juventus have scored 10 goals in their last 2 Coppa Italia matches. In the league, they have 29 in 19 games. So literally 25% of their goals in all competitions have come from 2 matches.

This is weird but not really when you consider the recent emergence of Kenan Yildiz. I can't stress enough how good this kid already is, Bayern really fucked up by not renewing his contract. The technique in his goal yesterday is something you only see from world class players. Credit to Weston McKennie as well, who seemed to channel Pirlo on the assist. I've been critical of his place in the starting 11 but it's hard to argue with his recent form. Very good news for the Unites States NT.

He's back and City's winning run can begin
That was one of the best games I've seen in a while. It would've been better if Newcastle had a little more depth on their bench as they lost steam in the 2nd half. But 5 great goals is nothing to complain about for EPL neutrals like myself.

The Premier League has charged Everton and Nottingham Forest with breaching its financial rules.

Both clubs have been referred to an independent commission for alleged breaches of profit and sustainability rules in their accounts for 2022-23.
Under Premier League regulations, clubs can lose a maximum of £105m over a three-season period, or £35m per campaign, before facing sanctions.

Clubs that breach those rules are at risk of a fine or a points deduction.

Everton are currently appealing against a 10-point deduction from a previous charge.

The Premier League said in a statement that Everton and Nottingham Forest "have each confirmed that they are in breach of the league's profitability and sustainability rules".

It added: "This is as a result of sustaining losses above the permitted thresholds for the assessment period ending season 2022-23.

"In accordance with Premier League rules, both cases have now been referred to the chair of the judicial panel, who will appoint separate commissions to determine the appropriate sanction."
