The fact that managers are so gagged in criticizing referees is criminal, Moyes would have been well within his rights to beat all of those officials to death with his bare hands today
They still can, but it'll cost them. Different sport, but Mike Brown of the Sacramento Kings pulled out a laptop in a press conference last week when he criticized the lack of consistency in NBA officials. It cost him $50,000.

This weekend we had the match Bochum against Stuttgart. Stuttgart fans put up this huge banner. It hung there the whole 1st half but during the halftime some security guys and firefighters started having an issue bc it hung across some emergency gateway. Players, both coaches, security men, firefighters and cops tried to get the fans to put it down. It took them over 40 minutes before they even checked if the gate can be opened despite the banner and -surprise!- the gate could be opened anyways. So the match saw a delay of over 40 minutes just because people are retards.

Bayern lost today against Bremen for the 1st time since 2008 while Leverkusen scored another literally last-minute-win against RB Leipzig yesterday. Leverkusen is now 7 points ahead but Bayern has one match less (against Union Berlin which got cancelled before Christmas). Leverkusen is also missing some crucial players at the moment bc of the Africa cup and the Asian cup.

Pretty sure now that Leverkusen will win Bundesliga this year and end Bayern's 11 year long victory run.

The Bayern stint is going to hurt Tuchel massively. 1st half year with Bayern he got kicked out of DFB cup and Champions League and only won Bundesliga and that only barely bc Dortmund fucked up. His 1st full season and he got a 100 million striker and won't probably end up with no trophy at all. If he even survives this season.
I may be a little biased here, but after what Tuchel did to Pulisic, I am glad he is being exposed here. Dude lucked his way into a Champions League with Chelsea and got to the finals with PSG based on some BS. Got out of the group against a very weak Real Madrid team, and then had to beat Dortmund, Atalanta, and Leipzig in order to get to the finals. He has an attitude that was unearned
What a fucking embarrassing performance from Real Madrid against a last place Almeria. They deserved to lose that game and were only saved by VAR.

It'd be nice to see the Bernabeu burn once in a while. Madridistas are the most ungrateful "fanbase" ever.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has told his former teammates that he hates life in Saudi Arabia and would like to return to Lazio.

Hopefully younger players start paying attention. They're already wealthy beyond their wildest dreams. Is it really worth maximizing your last contract if it means you have to live in a country of cousin fucking Islamists? Savic, Jordan Henderson, Benzema, Laporte, Firmino....any others looking to get out already?

ffs lads, MLS is the patrician's choice for a retirement league. Messi and Jordi Alba seem quite happy in Miami. They're allowed to go out and party and everything!

Can one of you Eurofags explain this Everton debacle to a retarded yank?
There exists rules in place to stop teams from spending irresponsibly and getting into financial troubles. This is called FFP (financial fair play). (Some argue its more about creating a closed garden for big clubs to stop anyone else doing a Man City, but thats a different debate)

The main bulk of FFP is a cap on losses able to be made by a club, running over 3 year window. FFP had a bit of a relief period over the Covid lockdown seasons, as many clubs lost a major revenue stream. Despite this, Everton failed it in previous seasons (leading to the 10 point deduction earlier this season) and have failed it again, leading to the current issue.

The main problems leading to this issue: Firstly, they decided to build a new stadium to replace the admittedly shit Goodison Park. Then, the Ukraine war breaks out. Roman Abramovich's departure from Chelsea was well publicized but one of Everton's main sponsors was the russian Usmanov. With one of the clubs main revenue streams cut off and a colossal investment already begun, the financial spiral of the club was begun

Its unreal to see that La Liga is bending over backwards to try and make the 2 clubs still trying to break away happy by winning an uncompetitive league

MLS has improved drastically since Henry and Beckham went there. The quality is improved, but not at the level that you would find in Europe. But you still get to play at a decent level, not have to put as much energy to defend as you use to, get paid a ton of money, raise your kids in good places (unless you get signed by a Canadian team, Seattle, Portland, San Jose, or an LA team) and you can actually be a normal citizen for most the time as most americans won't recognize who you are. Honestly, surprised that more people haven't taken up this idea.

Not gonna lie, Afcon has been kinda fun so far.
Way more fun than the Asian cup. There has been like one upset in the Asian cup while everyone is getting upset in Afcon

Mauritania got their first ever Afcon win, against the #4 ranked team in Africa no less. Aside from being their first win it also both knocked Algeria out in the group stages and got Mauritania through to the last 16.

Ok so the loan part makes sense but damn, a buy option? Didn't think he actually failed at City, just thought it was taking some time to adapt to pep.

Gio Reyna possible loan to Nottingham Forest
I was hoping Reyna would go to La Liga. Hopefully he has a relegation clause.

It looks like its a loan so relegation won't mean shit

Man I wish this tournament was in the summer. This would be great to watch the chaos

They are going to really struggle to replace him. I would think its on par with United replacing Ferguson but not entirely to that level
Difference is Klopp's leaving a decent team behind with space to grow, Fergie left a squad that was basically squeezed out and was finished. I do think they'll struggle to get as good of a manager for the club on and off the pitch for a long time
