Rules and principles of the „Wilde Liga Bremen“
The „Wilde Liga“ is distancing itself from the association-organized football in favour of a respectful and fair game without the need for a Referee. Fouls and other disagreements are solved by consensus of the involved players.
A. The basic rules are still the official, current Football rules, except for when changed here.
B. Start and Kick-off
Both teams meet in the centre circle before the game and reiterate the rules and principles of the Wilde Liga, especially for new teams.
C. There are unlimited substitutions and they can be done at any time and any place, as long as there will be no unfair advantage by doing so.
D. There are also no foul throw-ins, as long as that isn’t abused either
E. Offside is given normally, passive players are not penalized.The players of the defending team can loudly call for offside, if they can definitely recognize an offside position. If they are unsure, they are supposed to play on.
F. Foul play
Like in association football with a referre there are a lot of contentious situations. We have developed a well-functioning system based on fairness. If a player feels he’s the victim of a foul, he loudly can call for foul play. In most cases that is the end of discussion.
Some cases are more debatable, or even two opposing players claim they’re both fouled. Those situations will be discussed by the players. If there is no consensus to be found, ultimately both team captains will decide.
We also encourage compromise solutions. Say if players can’t agree whether it’s a penalty or no foul we can proceed with a free kick, or if it’s a free kick that’s discussed we can instead give possession to the side that was – or not – fouled.
G. Unnecessary roughness
Some intensity is part of football. However we don’t want to play as hard as association football does and we prioritize our health. Unnecessarily hard tackles are forbidden, even if they are legal by the laws of the game. That includes sliding tackles hitting a man in possession of the ball. If a player goes in legally but too hard, the penalty is a indirect free kick.
H. Handball
Handball is discussed a lot. We have decided on following: a handball is punished, if there’s clear intention and/or a clear advantage from it. We have decided to penalise handball when there is clear intention and/or a clear advantage.
I. Interruptions
Play will be stopped for injured players when called. The same applies if one clearly calls „off“, „offside“ or as the fouled team calls „foul“. If a free kick is taken quickly, the opponent must be taken into consideration.
If, exceptionally, a clearly wrong call does deprive a team of a chance, a solution must be found that most fairly restores the situation.
J. Sanctions
We do not use cards. If players are seriously and/or repeatedly conspicuous by over-harsh boarding or other misbehaviour, this player will normally be taken out of the game for a short period of time. This is not a punishment or an admission of guilt, but serves to calm both the player and the situation on the pitch. The player may therefore also be replaced.
If this is not enough, or if gross misconduct such as serious assault, discriminatory remarks etc. should occur, a player may be excluded completely. This player can be replaced, the further procedure will be decided after the match on a case-by-case basis.
K. Organisational matters
The game plan on the internet is for the rough match scheduling, date, time and place search will be clarified by the two team representatives before the game.
Proposed dates until Wednesday before the match weekend, match cancellations until 24 hours before kick-off, otherwise a 2:0 can be entered.
Club players must be registered up to 24 hours before the start of the match.
The correct result will be entered into the League Manager after the match.
League meeting is on the first Monday of the month (except January) at 18:30 in the Zakk.
Attendance is compulsory for one representative per team, three absences will result in points being deducted from the league table.
