AFC joins UEFA and Concacaf in the boycott against FIFA. And one of Infantino's cronies quit.

Things are not looking well for the dickhead and his plans to ruin football.
That's heartening news, mostly because between the 3 federations that's 136 total votes, vs 106 needed which is a nice little safety net against the possibility of at least some smaller members going rogue. I'm curious though if those 3 could/would work together to put up a candidate against Infantino for the election next year.

You’re not wrong, though one nitpick: only UEFA has come out and said they’ll boycott last I checked

The others don't need to, UEFA's boycott threat was only that they would if the proposal went ahead. Since then CONCACAF and ACF both have said they won't support it and between all 3 federations they theoretically have enough votes to vote it down regardless.

He'll be back to his tricks once the heat dies down, whether it's next year or the year after. He'll find a way to repackage his plans and try all over again. Or he could channel Sepp and just do things behind everybody's back, but we'll see. Infantino won't give billions worth of investment up so easily. Whether he gets it in the end is another discussion.

Anyone remember the most expensive Ukrainian player to join the Premier League? Yeah, neither do I but Mychajlo Mudryk's suspension has ended after 2 years instead of 4 years. This was possible bc the World Anti Doping Agency updated their rules and under the new ones he wouldn't have been punished for doping.

The only guarantee is that someone, somewhere will sell football off to the yanks and Saudis.

All the small nations creaming themselves over big payouts for votes would do well to remember that their national leagues will never benefit from any of this as long as the money in football is concentrated at the top. They’ll lose good players to English, German, French and Spanish teams, and their home leagues will be utterly shit and barely supported, while fans spend their time and money supporting foreign teams on the tv. The FIFA plan isn’t to improve and expand football for the masses, it’s to profit the tiny elite at the expense of everyone else.

Whoever runs FIFA will simply pay off whoever they need to, and sell off whatever they want to bit by bit. The yanks have decided football is their next big earner, so they’re demanding to control it and blow it up until there’s nothing left to earn from. They don’t give a fuck about the supporters or the club histories. Things were great before the American blowhards got hold of the game. Now they’re going to fucking ruin it.

They also need to learn that by taking the short term money they're essentially cutting their noses off to spite their face. Long term what money they do get from FIFA is largely funded from shit like the WC, if that gets sold off, even partially to VC, then they're taking a cut in what they'll get in future. Of course they're all largely corrupt faggots who don't care about the long term future because that'll be someone else's problem.

In lulzier news, behold:
lolverpool.PNG
I know it's a meaningless pre-season friendly, and I know that Lolverpool did the typical thing of using so many subs they functionally had a new team by the end, but even so lol. lmao even at that absolute fucking collapse
