The Future Games Show has premiered showing a range of slop and potential gems.

Find here the stream:

Alternatively, the roach king of which is the stream I watched:

Discuss what 2025 games you are interested in. For myself, there are several comfy looking games that are of note:

Comfy:

Hawthorn:
A builder game somewhat reminiscent of Animal Crossing. You play as an animal and you do comfy things.

The Last Caretaker:
You are a robot that has been abandoned. Rebuild and survive

Fun:

Rivals Hover League
Rocket league but with lasers and rockets

Kingmakers
We've all heard of it. We've all wanted it. Helping the Welsh destroy the English with utes and guns in the 1400s.

Discuss what games you are looking forward to. Or rage about the amount of slop or furry garbage that's being shat out.

Damn, I thought this was a thread to pitch ideas for future game shows.

Like what if it's "The Price is Right" but if you lose they kill you. And we could call it... um... "You Only Price Twice."
A combination of Cash Cab and Fake Taxi, where depending on how well you do you either win money or get fucked in the ass.

Clair Obscur was the only thing that I cared about.

Yeah, theres relatively few things im looking forward to this year, Clair Obscur, Demon Tides, and The Scramble Vice are about it.

SS2 Remaster looks good, curious to see how they're gonna adapt the inventory system for a gamepad. I hope they didn't drop the development of the VR compatibility they teased earlier; fingers crossed they have co-op figured out.

I was already waiting for the System Shock 2 remaster so them announcing that they would announce the date there just had me skim that part for the release in June.

Reading a preview of FBC: Firebreak has me really interested in it. It seems to be made for pickup and play and people won't need to have played Control to understand the setting but it seems that will be a bonus. Sure it kinda looks like a Left 4 Dead style game but I guess that's what most of the mission style co-op stuff nowadays is derived from.

The Last Caretaker could be interesting although the survival part might turn me off. I'll have to wait for more information on that one.

Section 13 seemed neat as a twin stick shooter and it has a demo if memory is correct.

Cronos: The New Dawn sounds like it has the makings of a neat sci-fi horror thing. Time travel and flesh monsters based on the main trailer and the part after the show with a few more details.

The Painkiller reboot caught my attention with the 3D Realms logo. Could be a neat one to try there but it just reminds me that I need to go play the original game (or are there two?) to see what they're like before trying a new version. I want to say there on GOG.

Overall had a few things I added to my wishlist and some I was waiting on more details for. I continue to despise what modern gaming marketing has become though with nothing but a quick trailer that tells us nothing compared to the old days of a developer overview of the game.

This looks nice. Sure it seems like yet another iteration of The Forest or Subnautica, but the stark, clean realism aesthetic makes it stand out.

Just kinda looks like one of those overhyped WRPGs like Greedfall. The fact that it's a French developer like Spiders makes me even more apprehensive. Though it isn't trying to be Gothic at least, so maybe it'll be good.

ngl, I'm a sucker for the premise. Since I'm on a budget and Abiotic Factor currently has my "Early Access survival game" itch in check this will have to wait.

Greedfall looks painfully boring imo. This game has nice music, a more interesting world, and fun looking gameplay. It’s hard to know with the French though. They don’t exactly have a big resume when it comes to video games, and not really a very good one either.

It's not for me to begin with, I'm not a huge fan of turn-based RPGs unless there's a tactical element to combat. So who knows? Maybe it'll be great for the audience that wants it.

I got you. Everyone’s got their tastes. I’m not even really into turn based games and more of a hack and slash fan, but there have been a few exceptions over the years. The game interested me from the start. To this day though I still can’t get into games like Skyrim and The Witcher 3 even though people love them because they just bore me to death, especially the Witcher.

That Expanse game looks interesting, but only because Owlcat is making it. Don't know a thing about the setting or if Owlcat is even going to have the ability to pull off a game of this scale.

I think it goes without saying, but I am extremely excited for The Expanse game.

I thought I already hated western voice actors the maximum amount possibly but this show managed to eke a little more hate out of me with their shitty "banter" and bits
