They truly didn't know what they were doing. I decided to look at X-Play's newest videos and the downright horrid writing is something to behold. This makes Polygon & Kotaku look brilliant by contrast.
First off look at that fucking runtime! 25 MINUTES. That's longer than the old episodes of X-Play! Do you think they spend this near half hour intricately and astutely breaking down the game? No!
The first minute is Frosk reading an awfully written intro about post-apocalypse fiction. And I could autistically rant about pretty much every sentence. But for your sake here's the first one;
"From Bioshock to Metro Exodus. To Left 4 Dead and Fallout."
Hold up motherfucker you put the canonically oldest franchise, Fallout last? Your intro setentence lacks chronological flow or any damn flow.
"It's hard to believe the same studio that made [Crash Bandicoot] would make The Last of Us just 17 years later."

And at this point I have to ask who is this for? Not gamers. Even a non Playstation gamer knows the gist of TLOU1.
11 minutes in they're just bullshitting every superfluous feature Naughty Dog has added. It's got Speedrunning! Who cares! Only autists would speedrun a Sony Movie Game.
Frosk didn't even play TLOU1 until this remake. What a phony. The new X-Play has been going on for a fucking year and she couldn't get around to playing such a lauded game? And while admitting she didn't play the original she then acts as an authority and says this $70 Graphical Remaster is worth it.
You know I hate to toot my own horn but I'd make a better video game critic. Hell I think every moron on 4chan would be a better critic, including the dude who keeps posting webms of his dick grinding on a Steam Deck. This review fucking sucks!
