How can he wake up like this, and think, Nah, I don't need to shampoo or condition. You're not supposed to to shampoo every day for the sake of your scalp, and it's natural (healthy) oils, but man, refresh with some leave in conditioner and a brushing.

I've worked with more than enough legitimate retards in my life to know that, for the most part, they're able to keep clean if they want to. Even the ones that function on a sub brick level (lvl3), can be trained to clean themselves in a way that doesn't leave them looking or smelling like a greasy stray cat with enough effort. I believe a lot of it just comes from him being lazy and not caring. He doesn't work a job that requires him to look professional. He doesn't hang out with people in real life who can criticize his appearance, his mom probably isn't forcing him to do anything about it. So in his mind, it just becomes a "why should I care" situation.

i just cannot imagine being as filthy as he is. Maybe I’m autistic but if I don’t shower for more than a day or wash my hair every 2-3 days (I have very short hair) I feel disgusting. Walking around, knowing you have greasy, wet hair, smell like shit, and probably have food stains all over you sounds hellish.
