Gambling is one of the oldest forms of game. Online gambling is more popular than ever and high profile online gamblers like bossmanjack are well known here. The games board's icon is literally a pair of dice. Honestly, I'm surprised there wasn't a thread for gambling already.
The gambling industry well over half the size of the entire video game industry and is growing rapidly thanks to the advent of online gambling.

This thread is for all forms of gambling. Like playing poker with the boys on friday nights? Like to go to vegas to fuck hookers and blow your life savings in roulette? Or do you go to a local small-time casino to have drinks and play blackjack? the best way to win at gambling is to not play at all. speaking out of experience because once i start, i won't stop until the money goes 0.

Consider yourself fortunate. You don't have the gambling mentality. They are deluded into thinking that they not only can win....but will win. And if they do win $10,000 they will get angry instead of happy. Why? Because they could have wagered $100,000 and won that instead of a measly $10K. With that mindset every loss becomes a win. And you're never done chasing the next big win then.

No one who understands betting or gambling actually gambles. The games are for rubes. Same with sports betting or lottery tickets. Cue the people saying "dude get good" or "dude you're too poor to gamble bro" or "I win every week on UFC or NFL".

im stupid so i know Gambling is not for me. sure, it can be fun to have a dumb bet between friends were you gamble maybe 50-100 bucks when playing poker or blackjack but blowing thousands BossManJack style, i will never understand. i think i would just kill myself at that point.

Not all gambling is corpo. Plenty of towns have locally owned casinos and there are plenty of indie crypto gambling sites.

Anyway, I don't think the thread should just be arguing if gambling is bad or gay or retarded. Some people like it and can play responsibly without losing more than they can afford, and that's what this thread is for. So, in the interest of actual discussion: what is everyone's current favorite game?
Personally i've been having a bunch of fun with a Spanish 21 table at my local casino. Odds are a bit worse than standard blackjack, but the sidebets are fun and it gives more options when playing (like double doubles, doubling after already hitting, etc.)

Out of all gaming offerings - I would consider 21 (BlackJack) to be my favorite game if I have to play any of them.

Dude above is correct in that there are many locations which independently owned and not part of a corporation. Usually they will disclose on their website any sister locations.

For those that fancy table games- if you're going to count cards, don't be retarded/obvious about it. Don't do advantage teams. The risk is not worth it.

For those that fancy slot machines and start to get into the nuances of "holds" - please keep in mind that if the hold is 10% that does not mean for every 100 you put in, you get 90 back. It is for over the lifetime of the game.

For those who are looking to get free shit from casinos- you will need to sign up for their tracking program and verify all your play is recorded. They then look at how you play in a period of time and give you free shit based on how "good" the player is at gambling from the house perspective.
