Soon after the stunning and brave avatar update came out, Pokemon Go players figured out that certain avatar poses combined with skirt cosmetics could let your Avatar expose xer stinkditch for all to see if you put a small Pokemon in a gym :story:

This was quickly and shoddily patched with a basic texture change, but supposedly other skirt options still let players flash their amholes to poor unsuspecting children just trying to play Pokemon.

No, because by having the amorphous blob be "female", they can feel better about themselves as the "female" character has the same mannish features as they do.

Look, none of this shit makes sense, a lot of double think is required to enjoy any of it, TTD.
Troons aren't that black and white, there's usually a spectrum with them and while some definitely don't have issue with these freaky models (mostly out of political spite instead of them actually finding them appealing), some troons do actually hate these models and would rather look like an idealized pretty women instead of a hits too close to home goblino creature.

This had me in a fucking giggle fit because , besides the iconic outfits being lacking, that looks SO FUCKING MUCH like chris chan.

These people look like they're in touch with reality.
Why do fat libtard bitches never look like normal fat bitches? The fat proportions are always uncanny as hell, like the kneeling one on the far right has a much fatter left arm than her right, the squatting danger hair in the center has (comparatively) little face and arm fat but a fucking enormous torso, etc.

This is the tranniest shit I've seen in a while and that is saying something in the farms.

In the past a translation being pozz'd meant it had forced memes, which were always dated by the time the translation came out, as well as the translator pulling a Working Designs and changing the dialogue to match his sense of humor. Said humor was always painfully autistic and relied of pop culture references, creating the nauseating sensation of holding a controller while reading a Family Guy script. Case in point, j2e has been raked over the coals for twenty fucking years because he thought his William Shatner joke would be right at home in Final Fantasy IV, and yes he's still seething over being a laughingstock:

There was also the Tales of Phantasia translation that butchered the script by shoving in as much swearing and crude humor as it could, but I don't have sceens of that one. If you're familiar with older anime subs that use every instance of kisame as a by-word for bastard and faggot, you get the gist on that one.

The long and short of it is that every generation of translators has been packed full of self-righteous, narcissistic fuckers who think they can write better than the funny Japanese people who made the damn game in the first place. The only difference is that in the 90's it was autistic nerds, and in the modern era it's autistic trannies bitching about capitalism and muh representation.

This is pretty accurate.

In the old days, a fan translation can be considered bad if either of this happens:
1) they insert unfunny current year pop culture in the script which quickly becomes outdated when gamers play it years later. Not a fan translation but Working Designs was notorious for this.
2) they immaturely insert swear/curse words or exaggerate the script for comedic effect. This happened to Tales of Phantasia as you pointed out where the main character or the main character's friend points out that Arche the witch girl, "fucks like a tiger." What he actually said was far more tame but "fuck" in a JRPG is "funny" so let's go with it.

There wasn't actually too much politics related "localizing for the modern audience" censorship to protect people's feelings because:
1) Politics wasn't as gay back then
2) Troons were hidden so they couldn't promote their degeneracy
3) Women hated video games and the men who played them

I don't know if he's still alive but I remember a guy called SkyRender who went against the crowd by retranslating Final Fantasy VI as accurately and literally as possible and faced heat for it.

Marzgurl of #KickVic infamy is a good example of weird fat. She's not just fat, she's fat in a weird looking way.

Today I Learned:
Koreans get very offended when characters use the pinching motion with their hands because it supposidly symbolizes Korean men have very small penises, or something. Thus, the hands get edited in their games.

Inb4 "gachashit", still counts.

Believe it or not, the feminism movement in Korea is even more extreme than the West so you would expect the anti-feminist backlash to be more extreme too.

Megalia was a feminist movement and its official logo had the pinch sign. You know how our Left always complains about the Alt-Right and "dog whistles" like the OK handsign? This is literally the same thing, except opposite. There is speculation that game devs or artists, sympathetic to the feminist cause insert the pinch symbols to dog whistle to other feminists. I don't know if it's true or not but there you go.

The other main thing Koreans get offended about is the red and white Imperial Japan flag and this has affected the Persona games.

Sorry for the double post but I didn't want to edit my previous post. After you read this post, you will understand why.

LMAO, he became a troon.

SkyRender said:
My name's Rachel (she/her), and this is my site. Sorry the archive's so full of hateful diatribe, but I was going through a VERY bad phase for about... hm, 30 years. I can't promise I won't ever get mad again, but I can promise that I won't be posting nothing but negativity here any longer. That's not really my jam any more.
To answer a few questions that I know people who have been here before no doubt have:
1. No, I haven't gone insane, and this is not "some weird phase".
2. Yes, my name was Rachel long before I started this site. It's a long-ass story and has a very disturbing twist in it.
3. No, you may not continue to refer to me as my deadname. I hate that name, and have hated it ever since I was 7 years old.
4. No, I will not bite off your head if you accidentally use the wrong name or pronouns, but I will ask you to try to get it right.
5. No, I am not deleting my old content or modifying it. It's like a time capsule of everything I hated about my life, and it serves as a good reminder to me of what happens when you give into the stupidity of others instead of being yourself.
6. No, I'm not single, and I never will be again. Kinda weird anyone would feel the need to ask about this, but I know someone would.
7. Yes, I am a lot happier now! Thank you for noticing!
With all that out of the way, welcome to Sky Render's Domain! I hope you enjoy your stay.

tl;dr
he is late 30s or early 40s
when he was 8, his mother said that she would've named him Rachel if he was a female
got raped by father as a 9 year old, and according to him, that was the day transgenderism was forced onto him
in 2019, his best friend and "girlfriend" "Lilly" confessed "she" was transgender (most likely FtM) and so the virus spreads onto him
in 2021, his mother, who he considers one of 2 anchors of his life, died and he lost his reason to live (take care of his mother)
that same year, after the traumatic experience of losing his mother, comes out as female to Lilly, his other anchor

Also fascinating was the Brigandine Grand Edition fan-translation.

Basically, the guy did it properly, except that he removed stupid weebshit.

For example, there was an angel line that went Angel, Archangel, Seraph, and its special promotion was Lucifer by giving it a Fruit of Vice. He thought that was stupid, so he changed it to Arch Seraph and rebalanced it.

Ha, so you're saying you want me to name something Rushiferu? I'm a bit weary of answering questions about why I changed some names since it's already been discussed pretty extensively. But to answer your question, there were several reasons. One of the main ones being there were three creatures in the game named after synonyms for satan (Satan Lucifer Shaitan). That may work for Japanese who really have no idea what the English names mean, but for a European audience it's a bad choice that waters down the name's impact. Second, I don't think the game was trying to say the angel line ended 'fallen', but as mandated by taoist cliche principles both the angel and demon lines ended in nearly identical black/white yin/yang creatures. That may feel 'meaningful' to Japanese taoist spiritualism, but having the two strongest units in the game end up nearly identical was a bad choice gameplay-wise and it lost its spiritual impact for a large part of the western audience who have a long history of "good versus evil" as opposed to "evil completes good". My belief is that these changes, though further from literally accurate, make the "feeling" more accurate to the original for a western audience.

I mean he's right about empty Japanese meme spiritualism, but I'm not sure editing a game is where to deal with that issue. Still, a refreshing reason to change something for once.

Gonna repost this from the Tomb Raider thread:
So, apparently that recent remastered got an update and they decided to remove Lara's pin ups from the game that was there at launch. Even after having spent time to upgrade them to HD and saying they wouldn't do this kind of stuff.

I have never been able to get ghost archive to work for me, so if someone can archive this that'd be great. Again, I don't know why but I can never get tweets archived on it.

Ghost Archive is just broken in general apparently. Twitter one doesn't work with archive.today, but I did manage to archive it through nitter.

As bad as western groups, the self hate Korean feminists have for Korean men is really something else. Especially as those same men actually protect those women from the north.
