User Sub Game Place is gone

I don't think Chris cares anymore, if (when?) he finds out about this, he'd probably just grunt and go back to playing with his Lego. And shitting himself of course.
If that were true, It'd be disappointing, but might be for the better. Still, I gotta feel a little bad for Mike if his business went under.

Who knew a random small hobby shop would be so important in the life of some autistic manchild? I suppose that curse finally worked.

Seriously, it is not suprising the store closed or moved somewhere else. You can now buy stuff like comic books, video games, etc from larger chain stores, like Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Barnes & Nobles, etc. Smaller shops like this are getting harder to find because of those larger chain stores getting in the way, so I guess it was only a matter of time before Michael decided it wasn't a profitable business anymore for him.

But, hey, Chris will be happy! As in "grunts slightly and sighs when he reads the news, and then goes back to Legos" kind of happy.

With places like Walmart cutting in on smaller businesses' turf (or just pushing them out of the market through other means), this ending was rather predictable. Despite the fact that this is probably a close to perfect explanation for the closure of the Game Place, our dearest Chris will probably celebrate victory and instead credit himself with the death of the business. That is, unless he decides that he should have been allowed entry back in before its closure. You know, because it was basically promised and all.

While Walmart does cut into sales to small businesses via direct sales of card booster packs (at least YGO, Pokémon, and MTG), there are other games that they don't sell (Cardfight Vanguard for example), and they definitely don't sell singles...but that requires a strict dedication to selling singles for games, and unless you're a serious collector, it costs a mint to start. This is, of course, not mentioning the fallacy of capitalism...if no one wants what you're selling, you're going to fail as a salesman.

Chris will likely see this as a small victory, since Snyder was involved in his incarceration, but I feel that unless Chris will gloss over it since he has bigger issues to worry about.

The gears of justice may grind slowly, but they're moving, they're moving! Get yourself caught in those gears, Snyder, and you'll be in a lot of pain...

Is that a quote from Ripper? I ask because I just finished watching Spoony's videos about that game.

Yes it is, but I only referenced it in reference to one of Chris' favourite Family Guy references: the idea of people or things he doesn't like "grinding his gears".

Sad to see a piece of Christian history disappear. We will always have the stories though.

Someone should tell him, if it hasn't been done already. I'd love to hear his opinion and see his reaction on the Place's fate. I'd imagine he'd be smug with a sense of victory or depressed. Or both, one after the other, respectively.

He knows, some white knight left him a comment at some point.

The death of the Game Place likely has nothing to do with anything related to its management, location, or the saga it was involved in.

These little game and hobby stores have been shutting down all over the country thanks to the changing times we live in. It's no longer financially feasible to run a store with that business model, since most of your customers understand how to use a computer, and therefore know how to buy things online.
