That's pretty much it. Early GameFAQs had bugfuck retarded rules like requiring full censoring for curse words, so even "f***", like was used on the entire rest of the internet, would stick you with a nasty moderation that'd drop your karma. There were no word filters, either, so you had to censor yourself or face the wrath of mods. Which, in retrospect, was fucking retarded. CJayC had the wherewithal to write something to automatically report your post if you included the word "gay" anywhere, but couldn't include something that says "if "fuck", then replace "fuck" with "****" " in the code?

I knew a dude who got banned for "circumventing the profanity filter;" I don't remember what it was exactly, was one of those stupid "what do you hear" threads or something else, because even in the PS2 days, voice work could be sketchy. So in Star Ocean 3, one of the abilities is "DIMENSION! DOOR!" Someone heard "That bitch next door" but instead of putting "bitch," put something like "witch, but with a b" and got the hammer. One of the most PG ways to get around a bad word, and got fucking nuked over it.

It really is something else how you can pop into a GameFAQs board you read 20 years ago and still see a handful of guys who've been there this entire time, still posting exactly like they did way back when. Some of them even still have those insufferably smug attitudes, despite being someone who has spent their best years hanging out on GameFAQs.

People try to draw a distinction between troons and femboys but that always baffles me, they're virtually the same. Maybe the character wasn't technically transgender but it's in the same degenerate ballpark, biggest difference being femboys just don't try to pronoun police everyone. I only draw the distinction because femboys at least have the courtesy to say they're boys; troons and trannies are the pronoun police, and while both are degenerate, the troons and trans are the more vicious offenders. The pronoun police are also the ones who erase tomboys and any other variation with the idea of telling an 8 year old he needs to get his penis chopped because he thinks pink is a neat color. A fem boy will put on makeup, a summer dress, and do a "Oh, I'm so cute," (and probably gets off to it). Trannies and troons are the militant insane ones... I only draw the distinction because I see which one is more of a threat and needs to Minecraft first.

There are people who've logged in every single fucking day for the past 20 fucking years in that thread... there's someone who probably did extra shit for extra Karma as their Karma exceeds the threshold of what the daily 1/24 ratio should be. These are people who have no fucking life. Yeah, you only had to log in as long as you had an active post, but still... 20 fucking years straight and never missed a day of posting. It's just, I joined the Marine Corps, I did shit, I went to Iraq, and even outside of those, there were times where the last thing on my mind was getting my daily GameFaqs login. I'll admit I'm a bit of a fucking autist weirdo, but I didn't go this fucking hard... and I have to point it out, just to state I'm not gonna be moralized to by a bunch of fucking no-lifers.
