Might as well post more screencaps here and some humorous posts. Maybe part of it is some lingering disdain from my own GameFAQs posting days, but there has been this longstanding myth that LUE is some secret cool kids club that I would love to see finally put down.

The forums for smaller or older games weren't that bad. But anything popular was an autism magnet. The Super Smash Bros. Brawl board in particular was a never ending well of autism, with posters ranting about characters they hated and awful, awful late 2000's meme humor.

GameFAQs's character battles also always seemed incredibly redundant. Other than the L-Block from Tetris winning as a troll, the polls always seemed to come down to choosing between Link and Cloud.

I remember one year some character named Draven won and it pissed everyone off, and I think some Undertale character made a good run at it too (or won?) the year after. The boards were pretty spergy at that point.

GameFAQs and Neoseeker were basically where I turned to when I wanted to know how to unlock every character in games like DBZ Shin Budokai and Dissidia or how to get the good ending in Persona 3 Portable. This was also before speedrunning became mainstream, so information on item dupes and skips was at a premium.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda nostalgic for the old school guides where the author went out of their way to make ASCII art for the guide but because of my screen resolution at the time, it came out ever so slightly altered unless I zoomed out. Never did bother with the forums unless I was desperate to find something that no guide covered.

I haven't been there in a few years, but last I saw LUElinks was being pozzed and taken over by troons, and somebody told me they recently deleted archives and wiki because somebody there was digging dirt.

Finally took a gander at CE and saw a topic praising Ron Pearlman for his lil donnie tweets. Someone called him the man and I said he was a sperg. Modded immediately for offensive material.

Meanwhile in the next topic I go to someone is talking about people who dont wear masks should be executed and nothing is done at all.

I think I'm giving up CE for good. It's not entertaining anymore for me it's just a reminder about how sad my generation can be.

Hell, it's not even a great place to shitpost, considering the handful of times I've gone there to do so have just ended up with a few replies from faggots saying "Welcome to my ignore list" and then the topic dies. I wouldn't be surprised if the regulars all have block lists in the hundreds.

GameFAQs is one of those places where the way their block system works makes the boards fundamentally shittier. When you block someone, their posts just don't show up at all, as if they never posted. There's no "this post might grind your gears, view it anyway?" button, and you can't receive PMs or anything from them.

On the other side of the coin, there's no indication to you that they blocked you. So, you can get yourself into a situation where you could waste time replying to someone, only for them to never, ever see it. Same deal with PMs, they just won't see your private messages come through, even though from your perspective, everything worked and sent, they just didn't reply. It'd be great if there were a feature where you could auto-block them back, but as it stands, you just don't know if you're wasting your time or not.

But that's GameFAQs for you, a place where everyone seems content with just screeching into the void and playing whack-a-mole with anyone that disagrees with them.

Someone posted some message where Zoomers mocked Millenials for never shutting up about Harry Potter houses and using terms like "adulting". The users started mocking Zoomers for doing stupid things on TikTok and I said "That's the point of being a kid though. At least when they're 40 they will actually own houses, have families and not spend all day obsessing over which Harry Potter house they are in and having to reference Huger Games in every political discussion." and I got suspended within an hour lmfao. Guess I hit a nerve.

Guess this is as good a time as any to just quit like I've been saying since I'm sure the account will be banned.
