Yeesh, current year and dudes with shitty haircuts and thick-rim glasses are still bitching about Gamergate?
Still never really got the obsession over it. You'd think with how much the Anti-GG crowd makes themselves look like idiots they'd try and sweep the whole thing under the rug.

If you ever spoke to them back in the day it was difficult to even get them to admit they existed they tended to say it was gg vs everyone else, which is so dumb It's to know were to start. What's often forgotten is how fucking dumb they were. The quinspriracy would have been done in about a week if it they hadnt gone of 5 month recruitment drive for gg by

It was not their finest moment and yet they want to keep reliving it over and over. Take the L and move on. It also had zero to do with Trump. That shit was happening anyway. And so was the alt-right. There was a survey of the politics of GGers at one point and it was more or less a normal distribution, perhaps slightly right of center, or at least right of what is center on the Internet. The idea that all GG people were alt-right chuds is absolute nonsense, a complete lie.
 
The year is 3036, the robot army has overthrown the US and Chinese governments, resulting in total robot rule over what few humans still remain alive. Extra terrestrial species from several neighboring galaxies use the Earth as a battlefield in their gruesome war. He was always a huge fruitcake. However, this is probably related to his degenerate "polycule" and I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the hambeast involved is the one goading him into it. Because whenever you dig into those kinds of things it inevitably turns out this is the case.

So I watched through all of that and aside from some obvious social justice pandering none of that is particularly egregious. Essentially all he’s saying is that there’s a cycle of billion dollar companies hyping up shit video games, consumers acting like those shit video games are the most important products to ever release to market in the history of mankind and throwing autistic tantrums at anybody that reviews them with anything less than a perfect 10/10 regardless of quality, then those people actually getting to play those shit video games, realizing they’re shit video games, and then continuing on like nothing happened until the next billion dollar company starts hyping up a shit video game. The tangent on Gamer Gate was literally just him going “you understand that shit was weird, right? That no normal level headed person would do something like that right?”.

Like I get he’s a cow for plenty of reasons but I struggle to find anything he actually said in that video that doesn’t have a valid point other than his performative in-your-face autism.

Sterling can be frustrating because, broadly, what he says is pro-consumer and in favor of a healthier video game ecosystem (in terms of not rewarding developers for forcing crunch and that sort of thing). But he tends to act like a douchebag while saying it. A lot of what he says actually is in line with OG GamerGate's ideals, though he'd probably 41% himself before admitting that.

During Gamergate he was married to this grotesque creature. I believe they still are, but she DFE'd when people started making fun of how fat and angry she was and I haven't followed him that closely until now.

There is literally no connection between this event and gamergate. The only way you can even believe such a thing is if you're unhinged enough to actually believe that gamergate got Trump elected.
