I bought a pack of PNY USB 3.2 256 drives off Amazon about 6 months ago and I'm glad I did.

I paid $25 for those.. for 10.

That same drive bundle is almost 60 fucking dollars

SSDs are having the same price increase effect as RAM cards
There goes the chance to buy a 2nd 8TB SSD. I wish Altman gets raped by a horde of niggers.
The problem is there is nothing left to review.
Not necessarily, I mean he was extremely giddy when he was doing case reviews (also, thanks Steve, the Corsair FRAME 4000D has been out of stock for about months even today). And before (I believe it was during the exploding Gigabyte PSUs) he was contemplating about making PSU reviews. I mean hell, betweeen the development of his anechoic chamber and other methodologies, I feel like he'll slowly let those rooms/methodologies rot because he has not made any review related to other PC components.

2.5 TB for $60 still sounds like a good deal to me.

Isn't GN like a 3-5 man team? He can't just expand or he'll end up like linus. Last thing we need is another bought and paid for tech channel. If he had the funding i'm sure he'd love to do a lot more shit. At least he uses the shit he buys unlike LTT - do they even have their sound chamber built or is it still sitting in pieces in the warehouse?

Interesting. On Newegg you have to click on the case to show it's "backordered," but no indication on the main listing. I can see how that slipped by. Backordered is different than out of stock; you can still order it at that price and units have been ordered - it might just be a few weeks before you get it (and you can usually cancel back orders if they're not shipped). Amazon shows them as in stock.

Still, backorders on Newegg are interesting. Some people might be buying cases because ... well there's nothing else they can buy. Maybe your 8 year old case is falling apart and you can't afford a new build but you can at least move everything to a better case and stick some spare parts in old one or post it on marketplace?

LTT has a lot of testing equipment they've rarely used. I do like how everything GN buys, they try to use. The sound chamber is the big one they've used a lot. Even though they haven't used the fan tester nearly as much, Steve did at least go through all of the issues with figure out methodology and how he also wasn't happy with not having videos on it for over a year. They did break it out for the Noctua case, which was kinda neat.

I'm honestly curious what GN's financials are like. Are they in debt due to the sound chamber, or are they totally above water with a year of runway in the bank? With all the money they raised from the documentaries, I'd hope they're fiscally responsible and are solidly in the black. I bet if you got a hold of LTT's financials, there'd probably be a lot of fun accounting, and he might be in debt for that stupid private yacht and jet.

The Threat Interactive gypsy curse has been placed upon Goyslave Nexus. Death and destruction upon ye, I anticipate a front page feature event within the year! DEATH!

I hate copyright just as much as the next person but what I hate more are influencer shills that only exist to push consoomers to like product and unreal engine 5, so L bozo something something Threat Interactive mogged Steve or whatever.

TAA ruined gaming. DLSS ruined gaming. Unreal Engine 5 ruined gaming. The fact that just about the only game that has wowed me in terms of graphics in the past 5 years are CS2 and Half Life Alyx despite not having "Weal Twime Wighting" just because i'm able to enjoy looking around without feeling like I have vaseline in my eyes at 100+ FPS on a almost 5 year old mid range card speaks a lot about the current generation of gaming. Anyone who says otherwise because "its getting better" are marketing shills and deserves to be treated like shit.

That's a deal. I bought several of those PNY USB 3.2 256GB drives (HP branded) a while back because they were the same price as 128GB Sandisk and Kingston drives (down here about 20 dollarydoos / 14 Freedom Bux each). They're slow as molasses, but they do the job. Though I have a feeling they're a bit more than 20 dollarydoos each rn...

best you can get is a shitty 8TB barracuda that will die within two years.
i just realized by checking my HDD's that i am in a position to shit talk barracudas, cope and sneed seafaggots...

not exos though, exos are baes, same as the ultrastar gang but for some reason all of the ultrastars you'll find in here are banged up, like physical fucking issues as if someone dropped them mid-robbery...

>Tested it on Win 11/10/8
Was 7 not an option? They have drivers for it on AMD's site. Hell they even have linux drivers for it.

Even XP and Vista got some love from it. Why not go back even further?
I'm guessing time constraints and also having to find old hardware for XP, Vista and 7 shenanigans. I don't watch this guy anymore or youtube at all for that matter. Eveeything is either doom and gloom or clickbait garbage.

How bad are those time constraints though? I feel like they are in a good position ever since they released a few documentaries that were supported by patreon, so it wouldn't matter as much. Regarding old hardware, if they still carry around old towers, wouldn't you think they would also have older hardware lying around in their office.

That whole segment felt like a missed opportunity. The only other reason I can think of for why they stopped at 8 was because of maybe the software they are using to record the tests that only rely on a newer OS. Otherwise they've already dipped their feet into Linux unless they just don't care about that anymore even though Steve has stated on more than one occasion that he hates Windows.
