It's a product of a general downward pressure. My theory is that most datacenters don't give a shit about AI or LLMs but they see a rare opportunity to (through concerted effort) completely destroy the idea of compute at home and replace it with dumb screens and subscriptions.

You cannot match the prices the datacenters offer, not in component nor in the utilities they demand.
