Steve’s TDS
Oh no, he threw a handful of light hearted jabs at the God Emperor, he must be punished. His jokes towards Jensen were meaner in that documentary, and admittedly the editors doing this was funny. Should've seen it coming but still, a classic clip.

You haven't seen what TDS YouTubers shit out. Steve is a class act with his jabs in comparison. He goes so lightly that he wouldn't even be throwing any serious punches if this was a pre-2016 SNL bit with Trump on the stage getting "ribbed" it's so friendly. But I get it, he lightly got off the fence once so you now gotta pull him into the pig stead to roll in the shit like everyone else.

>go out of your way to avoid mentioning politics almost all the time in an industry heavily influenced by a foreign county in an increasingly strained relationship with america
>lol TDS

perfect shall always be the enemy of good enough, no matter what

You know, for a site that's supposed to be filled with expert trolls, you people sure do get baited easily.

It's like when A&N replies to Hulk every fucking time he shows up. And then you wonder why the site quality is shitting the bed and people don't take you seriously.

Right. Android Raptor didn't spend 12 years obsessively posting about how much she loves abortion, she was just baiting. Lidl Drip isn't actually possessed of such an irrational hatred for all men, to the point that she unironically thinks Josh of all people is a misogynist, she was just trolling. Judging by his post history, this user seems to make completely normal posts, so I have no idea what you're referring to.

Just because someone can control their TDS to just a few light quips doesn’t mean he doesn’t suffer from TDS. There are degrees to TDS.

Pic unrelated.

I’m really curious to know what comedy of errors led to Steve needing to fly to New York to resolve this.

Probably just filed a dispute, got an automated "fuck off" response, and decided to go straight to the HQ and improvise. That's a very Steve thing to do.

If they got an unprepared employee to admit that it was fair use, regardless of whether it was or wasn't, that's amazing ammo for a potential lawsuit/settlement

If Steve is representing this accurately, the Bloomberg drama is shaping up to be a more interesting exposé of corruption than the film that triggered it. U.S. big media strongarming independent reporters is certainly more relevant to my life than chinks buying graphics cards the U.S says they shouldn't.

I'm only 6 mins in and there's a lot of bad faith from Steve. This feels like he's inventing his next controversy. Bloomberg is within their rights to protect their content (just like Gamers Nexus does).

EDIT: he should be more worried about the CCP assassins stalking him than a Bloomberg clip

ummm.... no
Copyright exists to protect markets. The market for Bloomberg is retard normies and boomers. The market for Gamers Nexus is autistics interested in tech. That's why they clicked on a video called "Look At These Chinks Doing Shit The Gobment Says Is Bad". They are not infringing on Bloomberg's braindead audience by putting out a 3 hour long video which just happens to include a short clip of the POTUS speaking that literally anybody could produce.
(just like Gamers Nexus does).
Name literally one time where they even threatened a DMCA against someone in order to "protect their content".

Speaking of bad faith, claiming that a corporation can do whatever the fuck they want with a complete disregard for any and all exceptions to the copyright law such as fair use clauses is definitely that. Bloomberg was in no position to take down a three and a half hour long documentary just because it used a few minutes of the president speaking during a press conference.

By saying that they were in the right, you're setting a precedence that means that if a Bloomberg employee is present at a POTUS press conference and is actively recording it, every other recording from that conference is now Bloomberg's, even if the journalist that recorded it was employed by New York Times, MSNBC or any other media company. I understand that you are agreeing with this statement 100%, right? Because if not then you are arguing in bad faith as if we say that Bloomberg taking down GN's documentary over that clip was in their right then this is one of the precedences that you're setting.

I think I've changed my mind on this. The sad thing is, I still don't think the original movie was all that great. It was long and boring and I learned very little about GPU smuggling. Steve is still being a little smug here, but he did barely get some information. He could have cut it down to an hour. But he's not wrong about any of the Bloomberg connections to nvidia advertising or Singapore. That's really interesting. A government sponsoring huge amounts of ads on your newspaper cam imply they're State sponsored .. and not even by their home State!

I had forgotten Bloomberg had interviewed Steve for a podcast. They are a big company, so maybe one hand didn't know what the other was doing. But I do side with the idea that this wasn't just an automated strike. Maybe the clip came up in some big enterprise flagging product they buy, but someone chose to pull the trigger on that strike and I think they knew exactly what they were doing. I don't think Steve is stretching with his theory of their own China data center video.

I hope the Bloomberg thing blows up more than the GPU smuggling video. The documentary was crap, but this .. this is interesting and entertaining.

Fair Use pretty much goes out the window altogether for a commercial project. Once you monetize your video the bar for Fair Use is much higher. I haven't seen that mentioned as much as it should be.

That Trump press conference is available on whitehouse.gov and the official White House Youtube channel. It took an extra 5 minutes to find because GN mistakenly dated it Aug 9 when it really happened Aug 11. How hard was that?

[cued to the nvidia question from the vids]

This whole thing feels like GN trying to draw attention to them getting a scoop over Bloomberg.

Who claimed that?

Well this proves it wasn’t just a mistake. I doubt Nvidia is involved but they are already playing with fire by selling AI chips to China in violation of export control law, so it wouldn’t surprise if they turn out to be. This is what actual corporate greed looks like.
