I don't think I've watched a GN video in months at this point. Don't want to waste my scant free time being sad and miserable because everything in the current year fucking sucks. (At least in the world according to Steve)

Really miss when he'd review somewhat goofy products where you could have a little bit of fun. Like that retarded South Korean PC case with 12 fans and no airflow whatsoever, or the ridiculously overpriced shitty Walmart gaming PC.

The ever expanding reddit-tier political takes are grating beyond belief too. Hopefully when things settle down a bit more, he'll go back to talking about computers instead of FUCKING POLITICS.

To be fair, the current drought in the hardware space probably doesn't help much either. No more GPUs this year because of ram prices, Intel fumbled and is back to the drawing board, AMD got comfortable, and we might wait quite a bit for Zen 6. And whenever I listen to Jensen Huang these days, whether it's at a consumer hardware convention or he's just holding an interview, he always talks about AI. And what's worse, prebuilts have gotten somewhat better, so it's hard to find a shitty prebuilt to make fun of.

Alright, maybe I'm a little bit too optimistic about bad prebuilts being hard to find. But they are better these days, so maybe not hard to find, but hard-er.

Why is Steve doing all this libtarded cuck crying about (((intellectual property law)))? Why can't he review a new consumer graphics card with a slightly different fan configuration instead?

EDIT: Actually- jokes aside.

Why didn't Steve call out the fact that the 'crisis management' email that the subhuman retard at 'Waste to Wonder' sent to him was obviously written by AI?

IT LITERALLY INCLUDES EM-DASHES.

I call out Steve for cucking for AI lovers. DISGUSTING

EDIT2: Also, seriously though. It is 'interesting' that the warrant against the legitimate buyer of the SEGA dev kits was executed by 'City of London' police. This is not the London Metropolitan Police, who are the Police who would be responsible for prosecuting someone in London who bought stolen goods.

For those not aware of the 'City of London'- this is not the governing body that actually runs London. Boris Johnson was never Mayor of the 'City of London'... he was mayor of London. London (the actual city).

The buyer lives in London (the actual city), in Stratford. Stratford is not to be confused with Shakespeare's Stratford-on-Avon- SoA is WELL outside London. Stratford is part of London. London is a big city. The 'City of London' is a convenient (for corporations) tiny early medieval remnant used in the modern day for tax evasion and other dirty dealings that is so unconnected to the reality of London that Shakespeare's famous Globe Theatre (which was very much within the centre of London when the theatre was built) was not within the 'City of London'. Even 400 years ago, the 'City of London' was not running most of London City, just one dodgy financial district.

You will also note, if you view the video, a reference to the buyer pointing out that City of London Police not following 'PACE' procedures. This is a 1980s UK law that outlines minimum procedures for dealing with those arrestees, witnesses, etc. City of London Police systematically fail to follow PACE.

Even when arresting kids, even though the 'City of London' is barely over a square mile in size (literally 1.111111111111 square miles- London proper is more than 3200 square miles, Singapore and Hong Kong are 300 and 400 square miles respectively) and getting hold of a child's parents before they take a photograph of their anus or whatever they consider to be a good laugh is a trivial problem, even three decades after PACE became law, these ratfuckers don't bother to comply with it.

TLDR: in American terms, this is literally if Wall Street had a police force and could send it anywhere in the US to arrest people who have offended corporations, regardless of whether they committed crimes or not.

The "RAM & SSD Prices Ruin Game Archive" part of that title is in reference to Myrient. It's safe to say downloads will now be even slower thanks to that shout-out.

The officers were from the City of London Police's intellectual property crime unit, or PIPCU. While it is part of the Square Mile's police force, the unit operates nationally to investigate crime such as counterfeiting and trade secret theft.

I get the analogy of Wall Street, but they have their own version. Three places in the world have an obelisk while not being a part of their member country.

Steve goes on a nostalgia trip and compares an old two-decade case against a new case made by the same company.

TL;DW - It performs slightly better than it's past case, but the lesson I took away from it is that people working in the marketing department need to be publicly hanged. New case ads were littered with AI crap, so basically a case once known for gamers only has now become a case for corporate enterprises with huge servers.

EDIT:
GN gets mentioned by Threat Interactive, lumped with Hardware Unboxed, Digital Foundry and other mainstream youtube influencers as "marketing slaves" to AMD and Intel's attempts at upscaler technology. Full context:

Now that AMD has almost perfectly cloned NVIDIA, there's no logical reason as to why FSR4 wouldn't be ahead of an industry TAA, but there is a logical reason as to why AMD will never catch up to NVIDIA. Neither AMD nor Intel, if we include XeSS in it's discussion, cannot magically clone NVIDIA's several year headstart in R&D. So do these companies even try?
Because they know channels like Hardware Unboxed, GamersNexus, Digital Foundry and all these other mainstream voices are going to be good little marketing slaves, that are gonna dramatize a nonexistent race, like some kind of infinite NASCAR event
He also posted a statement regarding techtuber shills: https://xcancel.com/ThreatInteract/status/2029868618369155381

Between AMD's maintenance mode of the 6000 series, to Intel being in official kahoots with NVIDIA, things are starting to add up.

Sorry Jack Ma, but you're full of shit. Unless NVIDIA does a massive 180, we're gonna be stuck with Jensen Huang for a decade or so.

i get that hardware is fucked because of ai and internal corporate affairs but the recent spate of content (especially with his lack of knowledge on tariffs and what they're for and what they're doing) is really killing the vibe. steve and GN should seriously switch to shitting on all the tech companies that are infested with jeets and start encouraging people to write to their reps to get them all deported. that would be genuinely productive and helpful and lead to a healthier resolution in the future. as it stands, they're just podcasting: all talk, always talk, but never any action or actionable advice. it's so tiresome.

It's been 2 months since the new year and we are into the third month and it's shaping up to be that the entire year of GN will be nothing but doom'n'gloom.

It's fine if he wants to do investigative reporting, but when it gets to the point where it feels like the videos are nothing more than "the beatings will continue until morale improves", especially if you're repeating the same points you made in previous videos, then yea.... it's time for a break.
