This is the same company back in 2024 that released the Tryx LUCA L70 (which Steve reviewed back and the quality control [or lack thereof] is astounding), then last year released the revised version of the L70 to mixed reviews.

How in the actual fuck do you fuck up thermals in a computer case post-2017?

FINALLY, something to do on your PS5
https://youtube.com/watch?v=I2OsvSc8VeE
I really wish I had bought a second PS5 and kept it in its box unopened. I haven't connected mine to the Internet in years, but physical discs still contain the minimum firmware they support and require you to update to play games. So my PS5 is at 10.40 (from 2024). It's jailbreakable, but only using a LUA exploit which requires specific exploitable PS4 games.

I think right now it's just Star Wars Racer Revenge, which was a limited run PS4 release and now sells on eBay for like $400 (and at that price, you're better off just buying a low firmware PS5). There are some other digital games with this exploit, but Sony has modified their store so game your purchase expire at a certain time, so future exploits in games can't persist and are forced upgraded. That means if you purchase digital games now for the PS5, they will stop working if you stay disconnected from the Internet!

I've just stopped using mine entirely in hopes an easier exploit will come around for the 10.40+ firmware. Until then, I'll just play older games on my hacked PS4 Pro.

And it's still shit

Console hacking is dying, there's just no point anymore. There's nothing to pirate and the hardware isn't remotely interesting, which are the 2 necessary ingredients for the right people to be involved and get homebrew off the ground. There is more people writing homebrew *right now* for the 360, PS3 and Vita than the PS5, and it's still nowhere close to the vibrant times of 3DS hacking

I've had tons of Xbox controller connection issues fixed with the Xbox accessories app for PC ( it lets you update the firmware of the Xbox controller) , still kinda dumb, but thankfully I'm VERY careful with my controllers... Whenever the fortnite kids in the family come over they get the hand-me-downs lol.

A bizzare statment that makes me think that they don't do their resarch and that they just go with what ever is popular on reddit. Louis Rossman made a Bambu video?! Quick time to virtue signal!

Bambu Labs has always been heavily anti open source & anti consumer. One of the major controversies in 2025 in the 3d pritning world was them locking down their printers not allowing you to use 3rd party software. Here is one of their blogposts from Jan 2025 on the details of that and here is an article from 2023 about how they try to patent open source technlogies to fuck over their competition.

As you say, they haven't done their research. Bambu is the Apple (though not to the same extent) of the 3D printer market the main selling point being convenience and specifically "it just works". They are machines people buy to just get on with their prints as opposed "to learn" especially if you have an interest in how it works. As you say they've had more than their share of anti consumer bullshit. Doesn't reflect well on GN that they bought a Bambu "to learn" last year. There are any number of Chinese brands that are far more open with allowing the user access to or fundamentally changing the internals or they could have gone full autist and built it from parts a la Voron. Prusa is a good option for learning as well as long as you are prepared to pay the Prusa premium (Haribo bags don't come cheap apparently).

However.... this is one of those rare broken clock moments where reddit is not wrong. Dunking on Bambu at the moment is the sort of guaranteed win that even the Quarterpounder couldn't f up. Nice easy popular content.

Mikrotik sells Chinese hardware, same as everyone else. They just design it in Lithuania.
My hAP says made in Lithuania on it. The company itself is from Latvia.

They do white label Chinese SFP modules and that's about it.
