🥝 Community Games by Farmers, for Farmers - Make games. Play games too- maybe that’s the best you can do.

I didn't have a chance to play all of them tonight. I'm excited to get back to them tomorrow with a proper mouse and keyboard instead of a laptop. Huge thanks to everyone involved in setting up and moderating and all of the other participants, this was some of the most fun I've had making something in a long time.

Congratulations to everyone who made it in time & shout out to fellow drop outs. Very cool project, I’m going to play them all eventually

Are there any games in the list made in RPGmaker?
I’m currently making one (very very slowly).

Only thing stopping me from posting any of my projects is that I have a very autistically-specific (and therefore potentially doxable) coding style :(
just use a completely different language than the one you usually use, indent it completely differently, and exclusively use emoji for all variable names
unless you have a habit of expressing your programming thoughts in emoji everywhere else already (:cringe:)

For the Game Jam submissions- none of them are made in RPGmaker. Included with the downloadable collection is a README per game noting the engine used alongside the project's raw files.
Christian Weston Chandler's Adult Chronicles is, as of posting, the only RPGmaker game. (🥝)
I understand super basic coding, but actually putting any of that information to use to make a project is so overwhelming.
Something small and fun wouldn't be too overwhelming, discouraging, or intensive. Little by little to see if you like the process of learning the ropes. Totes try Godot's GD script! SmallSpaghet.webp

It's my A24 spine-tingling passion project, I get to choose how memory-unsafe it is.

index it completely differently
It's my A24 spine-tingling passion project, I get to choose how autistically-hyperoptimized I make each statement.

and exclusively use emoji for all variable names
It's my A24 spine-tingling passion project, I get to choose to name all my variables "nigger", "nigger1", "nigger2", "nigger3", etc.

I had an entry, but did not finish in time. Maybe next go-around.

The entries so far appear wonderful. I'm impressed at the prowess of many of them. Great job guys.

There seems to be some sound issues in the web version of my game (poofighters), that was not there in the desktop version. Specificially some of the samples seem to be more and more attenuated as you play. But at least it seems playable, that's good.

I am looking forward to play all of the games later today.

Maybe some day I'll force myself to learn to make games. I understand super basic coding, but actually putting any of that information to use to make a project is so overwhelming. Great job to the farmers who made it. Thanks for the games.
Try making a simple mod for Minetest (aka Luanti). That's what broke the creative block around game making for me. Add a thing that generates a custom structure, or a custom mob, or even just a custom item. Once you get over the barrier of "can I really do this?" game dev becomes much, much easier.
