Nah they already have another studio staffed with former Psygnosis employees that have supposedly been working on a new game.

This just reabsorbs the other people back into the fold. But they were already doing external development stuff for years with them, so I don't think that much is going to change especially since their primary focus is VR.

The thing I want to see is if it's true that their big new studio that's staffed with former Capcom and Konami employees will be working on an RPG. They have quite a few people who worked on MHW.

Yes, the much talked about Playstation VR market. I expect them to make a multi-million seller on that platform. Well, I don't really expect them to do that but Sony might now that they own them... and then.

this reminds me of the Zoomingames channel.
some backwater youtube channel that mostly did clickbaity videos and such but you can see the changes in the narrators as the time goes by (from oldest to newest).
you can say that the channel is dead, check comment counts on the videos as well.

The guy who posted that rumor also posted that Kojima confirmed his connection to bluebox and is working on Silent Hill, which was entirely nonsense, safe to assume it isnt true

God this video is timeless. For any parent Kiwis out there (God above what a horrifying thought), don't let your sons grow up without some kind of testosterone building activity or hobby. Granted they've probably got (literal) tard strength, but still. You don't want your progeny being unable to snap a flimsy disc; your ancestors will laugh their asses off at you for eternity.

I doubt Jeff has many regrets. He probably saw the direction the site was going to be taking under new ownership, saw that everyone was quitting (Dan, Drew, Abby, Ben) or was going to quit when the "new site" launched (Brad, Vinny, Alex) and decided to go down with the ship - or was contractually obligated to.

Jeff may be wasting money on nobodies tarnishing the formerly good name of Giantbomb.com - but he isn't wasting his own money on it. Maybe he's taking the Conan O'Brien/Late Show route.

Repeated the same missteps that most late 2010's entities have.

Content went from heavily produced and focused, to streamlined reactionary clickbait with most uploads being butchered streams or bland "opinion" pieces that wouldn't even warrant a thread on this forum. Website dedicated to content is poorly optimised javascript / html nightmare. Wordpress has better templates for free. They decided to get a large scale office, despite rarely using it for content. Kyle Bosman, the real draw of the channel seemingly refused to do his typical content, later quits and returns to his old format. He now pulls in more views solo on Twitch and YouTube. One of them also went and troon'd out.

That's Alex Lifschitz, Zoe Quinn's boyfriend at the time of Gamergate's onset. He isn't actually a game journalist himself, but rather a poser in that clique, supposedly from a wealthy family which explains why Zoe latched onto him for a time. Ironically, at the same time Zoe was driving the game dev Alec Holowka to suicide in 2019, another ex-girlfriend of Alex attempted to Cancel him with an evidence-free accusation of taking sex photos without consent. But I have no idea how that turned out for Alex or what he's been up to since then as it appears he subsequently vanished from social media.

Didn't Critical Proximity posture itself as being a big deal back then? Their channel's views are abysmal outside of Alex struggling to snap a DVD.

Jesus fucking Christ, look at some of those titles in their videos. "CURATORS ARE CLASS ENEMIES" fucking loooooooool.

I had never heard of Critical Proximity. I just searched his name and looked through the thumbnails for the one I recognized as the event. "CURATORS ARE CLASS ENEMIES" (unless my work is included in the curated list, of course. Then they are merely acting with "CLASS CONSCIOUS").

Frauds.
