Well, the day is half over, and I have yet to see any hit pieces about Lewis on Polygon or Kotaku.

Either they realize that they would be proving him right, or they are just taking their time before they double down hard.

This man speaks the fucking truth.
Stuff like this legitimately gives me hope that the paradigm will finally shift in the 2020s and these sites will finally have their bubbles irreparably burst to the point where they're either disappear completely or at least be reduced to the irrelevant dollar store counter tabloid level rags they really are

Online "Games Journalism" wasn't even that profitable during its golden age. Now that they are being overshadowed by online reviewers, Let's Players, and Twitch streamers, there are so many other ways for gamers to get an unfiltered, unbiased opinion about games they might want to buy. People are tired of going to sites that are paid under the table to shill crap like Mass Effect Andromeda or Gone Home while shitting on them for the crime of not being woke enough.

Why give my clicks to Kotaku and Polygon when I can watch Ninja or PDP play through a game and let me see how it plays/looks without having to be lectured at?

It says something that even the kind of guy who gets an award from some group like this has so utterly had it with their utter shit that he flips out at them at the awards ceremony.

LIKE CLOCKWORK

These people never fucking learn. All they've done was prove every single thing he said about them right and use the only single move they've ever known how to do, no matter how many times it's turned back around to fuck them in the ass for well over a decade

I don't even know his guy that well nor give that hot of a fuck about his line of work but I just know that if these retards hate him this much, he can't be all that bad of a guy at all

We now know everything Richard Lewis said is true and everything said against him is a complete fucking lie, because that's been the shit sandwich these lying fucks have delivered, routinely every time anything like this ever happens.

LOL. I wonder how much Kuntaku and/or Polygoaway paid that loonie to pull a Zoe Quinn. If that shit happened on Twitch (like they claim) and reported it, then they'll be evidence to back up their claim (ProTip: Twitch won't have shit because it never happened)

EDIT: Lewis posted a scathing article detailing the bullshit that Kotaku and co have pulled on e-sports, complete with receipts. And it's only the first part, with a second part to come: https://www.dexerto.com/opinion/richard-lewis-about-esports-awards-speech-1288409

I really enjoyed reading that and glad some big names are finally calling them out. The more people stop clicking on Polygon and kotaku the fast they will die just like waypoint died.

Holy fuck Lewis is really trying to execute these people. He's like the Punisher for Games Journalism.

As someone who did something similar in school (though obviously on a much smaller scale with much lower stakes), that article is pretty much 100% spot-fucking-on with my experience. People are sick of this shit, but the Powers that Be have created a culture of fear and isolation. People are afraid of voicing their true thoughts publicly, which also means that you’re not hearing OTHER people’s true beliefs, and trick yourself into thinking that your beliefs are rare or unique when in reality it’s what most people think.

The radical left that’s taken over media and culture has, literally, illusory power - the only thing keeping people in line is the BELIEF that should they step out of line, there will be consequences. But enough people - even big names - are starting to realize that all they’re all bark but no bite. Their only weapon is an attack dog restrained purely by the belief that it’s on a leash. When that dog starts to realize that it doesn’t actually HAVE to follow anyone’s orders, it’s gonna turn on its former masters, HARD.

I notice one of the things that stuck in his craw in the years since was the absolutely vile, subhuman behavior of these people grave dancing at the death of John Bain. That was so animalistic and, frankly, evil that it really put these "people" beyond the pale for me as just absolutely subhuman garbage, not just people with a disagreement.

"Games journalists" seemed more or less universal in it being completely okay to stomp all over a dead guy before the body was even in the ground based on the flimsiest and most insubstantial of reasons. I bet a lot of people had their eyes opened by that ritualistic display of ghoulishness.

That wasn't just wrong or mean or spiteful. It was evil.

These people do not understand or have the skill of empathy. It's why everytime they open their mouths, normal people are fucking disgusted by them.

They shit on TB simply because he was wealthier and more powerful than they ever would or could be. That's the sum of a Game's Journalist. A bitter fucking failure as a professional who can only shill for a corporation and troll for clicks so they can afford a 5 roommate apartment and cat food at 40.

They don't have healthy relationships, most of them are unlikable trash and their influence is waning. Each and every day brings them yet another level of embarrassment and their own supposed audience is rooting for them to be jobless and homeless.

The corporate illusion of their influence is coming to an end as these rags become money pits by the second and are only kept afloat by ignorant old white people, the very people these journos hate, because they think that gaming is for all these hip kids. So they throw good money after bad and then when they politely ask them to be profitable they shit their pants and throw feces at the wall.

My only wish is these mongoloids get to live in a time when their influence is dead and everyone is enjoying videogames, sexy women and anime tits and laughing at them. Then they can't ruin anyone's fun and more importantly anyone else's life.

Maybe then they'll finally do something useful with their miserable fucking lives like become compost for soil.

They didn't even demand profits, just said hey, actually do what we're paying you to do. The result was chimp-like shit flinging and tantrums like a kindergartner in a time-out room.

Richard Lewis' second part to his Kotaku-raping article just dropped, and HOLY SHIT he does not hold back. He lays out all the ways that Kotaku failed at journalism, and their terrible attempts to horn in on the e-sports reporting field after constantly shitting on it, the players, and their fans.

Even better: he plans on expanding this and releasing ANOTHER INSTALLMENT.

Somewhere, Jason Schreier is furiously smashing his keyboard against his face while the rest of Kotaku's staff fly into a tard rage.

Well, that's what happens when you don't beat these people. I think most people who run these blogs should be beaten with a pipe. They're worse than the enquirer was at its worst.

For reference, the reason Richard Lewis HATES HATES HATES HATES the gaming press is that the gaming press tried to blackmail him when he was trying to write a shitty novel when he was younger:

So he's got a very real reason that he loathes these chucklefucks. I mean, when someone tries to blackmail you, kinda makes someone your enemy for life. I think most would have just bowed their heads or just ignored it but the dude fucking cut these motherfuckers and pushed them in the water. He's making sure they're chum for the sharks.

I don't think they realize how much of a problem this is for them. If Lewis is allowed to do this, come out unscathed and even more popular, it basically dispels that you'll be alienated for fighting back.

Schreier is a cunt and the rest of Kotaku is too. Its hilarious to me that the majority of their 'audience' looks forward to their unemployment.

I swear, #MeToo can't die off fast enough. I can't even tell you the last time one of these accusations actually had any merit.

Honestly, its already dead. Since as you mentioned, none of them has had any merit or any effect. Its just become a basic slur against someone you don't like. Now, the trend of it being effective is dead, the trend of it being a tactic won't die. Because these people are stupid. They'll always ruin every avenue of attack by using the same. single. angle. Look how many they've already reduced to nothing. Misogyny means nothing. Nazi means nothing. Alt-Right means nothing. Rapist means nothing. Their word means nothing. #MeToo is code for nothing.

He confirmed that he was just as surprised as the rest of us when much of the audience he gave that speech to applauded. Just that alone shows these scum have no power.

Funny how his old writings were being used against him just before the Esports awards winners were picked. Quite a coincidence, I'm sure.

I mean, if some pseudo-edgy stuff he wrote 10 years ago is the best dirt they can dig up against him, then they shouldn't have even wasted their time. This is why the same lunatic that tried to "blackmail" in hopes of torpedoing his win "sudden;y" is claiming that Lewis made threats against them.

It must be driving the staff at Polygon and Kotaku up the wall seeing Lewis not only nab a huge award, but get tons of support and accolades for stunting on their asses, and they can't do a single fucking thing about it outside of chimping out on Twitter.
