Can’t have morale if there was never any to begin with

Shouldn't have given God Hand a 3 out of 10, IGN.

While I have always disliked this image (different reviewers = different opinions), it is amusing how websites circle back around years later to have the popular opinion. God Hand reviewed mediocrely. Now it's an all time classic. Nier scored putridly. It gets remastered, the only major change being better gameplay, and suddenly its Yoko Taro's masterpiece. It's an industry full of people who have just latch onto trends and have no genuine opinions of their own.

What's the story here? I always loved gametrailers/easy allies reviews but never watch any of their live steam reactions stuff.

Just tell me the dude who does the voice over stuff didn't cut his balls off.
The guy who does VO for them is Brandon Jones, so no he didn't cut his balls off. Ian is just an editor/tech dude for them. He's also pretty fucking insufferable post GT, he was ok at GT when he had Elyse to bounce off of but now he's just perpetually smug and annoying.

The guy he quoted is apparently a community manager for EA? Lmao wtf? A major game company's representative coming to the defence of game journos should tell you all you need to know.
EA has hired former gamejournos. Mitch Dyer for example works for EA Motive, he's the one responsible for the shitty EAfront 2 and Squadroon stories and characters. Another PC Gamer journo (the girl who complained about rape in GTA Online) worked at Bioware on ME:A and the Spider-Man game for Sony. I think she's at Marvel now.

Taking a side to just intentionally break expectations and piss off a larger pool of people as a Joke is not contrarian, it's his job and it's why people donate money to him.
No, that's exactly what a contrarian is. They do it as a joke, they do it as a troll, they do it because they're hipster or they just do it because they think an unpopular stock will take off. He took an action to be contrary to the majority opinion. That's a contrarian. Just because he turned it into a means of livelihood doesn't change that.

I actually enjoyed watching the Easy Allies D&D streams for a time and you could really tell on there what a smug and insufferable faggot he was just by how he roleplayed.

Of course his character was a quippy Mary Sue!

So the all minority cast for TLOU TV Series is revealed and yet again another meme becoming truth has come to pass.

Mind you a few are role reprisals from the game.

I know it’s been said to death, but video games should not be adapted into TV shows. How are you going to make The Last Of Us into a TV show, yet not do one for Horizon: Zero Dawn?

One of the defenders is a localization editor for Nintendo America. They deleted their tweet when they got dunked on so hard.

This dumb bint:

Wait isn't she the lady getting a single comment in the Boobs of the Wild meme?

Also IGN podcasts are hilarious, half of the hosts are legit grizzled game vets who have been there twenty years and can tell you what happened in E3 2002, the other half are mid-20s aged women who push the two or three games they like and that's it. Oh and that one "keep the faith, things will suck less soon" guy on Unlocked, the biggest shill of them all.

I see Abby drove you off of Giant Bomb too

It works to sell games though, it was already proven as early as the 1970's that having a TV tie-in can move games and hardware.

Nintendo famously did it in the late 80's and early 90's with all the Mario and Zelda cross promotional stuff. The TV shows were of arguable quality, but you can't argue with the results they had.

Mind you Nintendo is also having new video game themed movies that may lead to TV shows and a new theme park to help push their brand.

Sega is having a new Sonic movie and TV show to push their games too.

Also they are doing one for Horizon, Uncharted and TLOU were supposed to be the first wave, but corona pushed them back. Horizon, Ghosts of Tsushima, and GOW are coming later. They never got out of pre-production before the virus hit.

Finally the day of the rake has come

As spotted by Resetera user Rösti, a work in progress JavaScript file found on the E3 domain includes a list of words registered users won’t be able to use when interacting through the event’s virtual booths (and potentially other areas where people will be able to send messages). While the reasons for banning many of the words, most of which are said to be profane and of a sexual nature, are self-explanatory, some of the inclusions are surprising such as ‘Canada’, ‘toejam’, and ‘women rapping’.
Here’s a selection of the banned words reportedly presented as they appear in the JavaScript file which, it should be reiterated, is incomplete and subject to change:
Religion
alah, allah, azazel, christ, god, jew, jew!, jewed, jewish, lucifer, koran, nimrod, omfg, omg, qu’ran, quran, surah
Geography, nationality
canada, canadian
Political
black president, democratic socialism, right side broadcast, trump train
???
toejam, women rapping
The aforementioned list of banned words is related to E3 2021’s code of conduct.
On the subject of harassment, the ESA writes: “E3 strives to provide a safe, inclusive, harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, color, caste, religion, national origin, immigration status, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, veteran status, and other protected categories.
