Games you like that KiwiFarms hates

Watch_Dogs isn't hated as such on here, but most of the world considered it very mediocre/uninteresting and it's basically never talked about.

For what it's worth, it may have actually been slop (my tastes have gotten better with more time and games), but I don't think it was, I remember it being a much more interesting game than GTA V.
I've never played it, mostly because I'm averse to giving money to Ubisoft for a game that they might pull the rug out from under, but it at least gave us one great meme:

This, coupled together with tranny-coded nu-platformers like Celeste. I wouldn't say Hollow Knight is "tranny-coded" but it does certainly have a queer fanbase. You can also throw OneShot in as well. Now that I think about it, a lot of these retro-styled throwback kind of indie games have both extremely weird fanbases AND developers.
I absolutely loved Celeste. Then I learned that the whole game was some tranny's crywank about how hard it is to have a GIRL'S SOUL in a male body and I can no longer enjoy it at all. What were once assumed to be universal allegories for doubt and anxiety are now obvious, hamfisted propaganda.

I miss not knowing anything about the people who made my games.

Yeah. At launch it was a very run of the mill "oh geez my anxiety and depression oh man" story that was embarrassing and childish, but inoffensive. Then the dev trooned out and of course had to make everything he's ever touched about being a tranny.

I didn't bother looking up the DEEP LORE until well after the fact because I didn't care, so the first thing I ever learned about Celeste was the tranny shit. Then after that I learned about retcons. But it's too late. The game is now a tranny game and is thus unplayable.

Meh. I only learned about the trans stuff because of KF, but I've always said that anything that's not in the actual game, doesn't count. Authors changing their mind about what their story "means" is a problem as old as time immemorial, but unless they write a sequel that canonizes the bullshit, I don't have to acknowledge it.

I really like Assassin's Creed 3 because I enjoy the setting, and not many games let you explore such a time period.

Most of Bethesda's games, really, but especially Fallout 3/4. It's been the in thing to shit on everything that isn't 1/2/NV since time imemoriam, but I'll stand by the fact that I think the Bethesda titles are just as good in different ways. I think Bethesda does a much better job at making an engaging world map than Obsidian did with NV. The moment to moment in Bethesda games feels really fucking good—if I wanted a game that was more fun to read than play, I'd go read a book.

Reactions: Jerri's Kid
I've always had a soft spot for Final Fantasy VIII. I know a lot of folks hate it because of the Junction system and the Draw mechanic, but I dunno. After I finished FFVII when I was a kid, I played VIII, and I liked it, but I never actually appreciated it. As an adult, going back and playing it again with new information about the lore of the setting and new understanding of a lot of what was going on, I've actually come to really appreciate it. I know a lot of people consider FFVII overrated, but I've always liked it as well. VII, VIII, and IX have always been my favorite three that I'll always go back to when I'm itching to play classic Final Fantasy. I know people go back to II (IV) and III (VI), but I grew up with the PS1 era games.
