So what games do you refuse to play?

F.E.A.R. 2. Dr. Cuddlebug gave me a Steam key for it, and it's been sitting in my library, unplayed, ever since. I'm too scared to play it. I scare pretty easily.

Cry of Fear. Mostly for the same reason as F.E.A.R. 2. I actually played it once. After the first jumpscare, I freaked out, quit the game, and uninstalled it. I can't really handle jumpscares. Even if they only last for a second or two.

Star Wars: The Old Republic. I love the KOTOR games and honestly I really don't want to touch that festering turd.

I hate jumpscare games too. I play them anyway though. (:_(

Uhhhhh... hmmmm...
Like you, horror games with jumpscares. F.E.A.R. I made an exception for, but that was in broad daylight. I'll play a game with freaky moments, but in general I avoid jumpscare-types. (Not saying I won't play horror. Just not jumpscares.)

I'll have to get back with you on what else I won't play.

EDIT: As soon as I clicked submit... I thought of another type.

I refuse to play Naruto fighting games.
I also refuse to play Call of Duty, Battlefield, and other games like that. The only game of their kind that I've played is Medal of Honor.

Licensed games, because they're so often crap. Pretty much any Call of Duty-type shooter, they're all the fucking same (Exception made for Spec Ops: The Line and CoD4: Modern Warfare, both of which are really good). Anything by EA or Activision; I hate their business practices and won't give them my money.

EDIT: MMORPGs; I had a bad experience with one in my teens and have zero desire to repeat that.

I like freeware horror games. But for some reason I can only get myself to watch LPs of The Witch's House and Mad Father. They have content and endings that make me go :C

I avoid those nowadays, too, starting when several of the MMORPGs I played a lot in my teens became "pay to win." (Still advertised as being a "free" MMORPG, too.)

None. I don't mind trying out some games even if they are FPS or possibly notable for being the worst ones.

EDIT: Speaking of horror games, I remembered playing "Haunted Memories" which is a free to play game. It's okay, but contains some jumpscares even at the first level.

Quelf. And I'm sick of seeing adverts for it.

F.E.A.R 2 is an action game... lol the jumpscares are pretty tame.

But yeah to the question MMORPGs are my answer. I even found an MMORPG I liked, which was Star Wars Galaxies. After playing it for a good solid amount of hours I realized all the elements in SWG that I liked were elements I wanted to see in singleplayer RPGs. And that the multiplayer component really didn't interest me.

I've given up on Final Fantasy. I got into FFX pretty hard when it came out, but FFX-2 put a huge sour taste in my mouth. And don't get me started on FFXIII.

Street Fighter X Tekken or any modern capcom game. On disc DLC, screwing over 360 owner, and full price upgrade after a couple month of the original game release. Also capcom bullhurt treatment of MegaMan and MM's fan after Inafune left.

Yeah . . . I've got to agree with you on those points. I really didn't like the way they handled Street Fighter IV or Street Fighter X Tekken. Which is a pity because I fucking loved me some Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

FFX recently got re-released on the PS3.

Actually a big reason I bought a PS3 is because all my favorite Final Fantasy games are on it. Like FF6, FF7, FF9 etc.

Any sports video game. They seem utterly pointless to me. If I want to play football, I'll go outside and actually play football.

Any of those multi-player first-person shooters other than TF2

Also, MMOs since they tend to be life-wasters

I'm actually more lenient toward more unique sports games. Like I was really into Tony Hawk til the series went downhill.

I'm not big in sports games. Only sports game I'll play is Mario tennis and only with other people who want to play it.

ever considered those WWE games?
A friend and I managed to get El Santo and Blue Demon tag team against Hulk Hogan and Shrek.
El santo and blue demon won

On he topic of Games I refuse to play...
I'll get bashed on this, but I don't like binding of Isaac, because of the logic behind it's body fluids...

Ohh god I remember I had the game WCW Mayhem

And all I did was enter the character creator, and I loved how you could pull an infinite amount of chairs from under the ring. And how you could go backstage of the arena and fight.

I guess I'll consider WWE games, still, sports games are just not a priority for me right now.
