I tried using ENB on GTA:SA a few times and every time it resulted in complete failure so I've never bothered to use it.

But hey, if for Redditors the importance of being open source and supporting the current thing is the main priority, they already have their solution that is ReShade. Their front page had a fag flag and Ukraine flag for essentially the entirety of 2022 and they still have it, and the people behind the project are the same kind of spiteful toxic cunts that will drop their friendly act as soon as they deem you as an unwanted element.

Oh yeah, I forgot, ReShade is way simpler in how it works compared to ENB and it can only overlay some effects on top of the already rendered frames and the only thing that allows for more advanced effects is the depth buffer, but even then any advanced effect like screen-space reflections will be reflecting UI elements and will look like shit. But hey, it's open source and it has that paywalled ray tracing shader from that egotistical g*rman everyone loves so it should be good, right?

Morrowind has that whole reputation of 'that ES game with no fast travel" and a combat system casual video game players can't seem to figure out. Honestly all the quirks and jank that makes the game what it is acts as a barrier to keep the identity politics craze out since the only people who really care to play it and thus mod it in the current day are the ones who seek it out and make an effort to understand how things work. That and since the modding community is smaller it is hard to replace people who would leave because of things like that.

ENB is about the only worthwhile graphics mod for Skyrim.

Back when SE was first released I finally tried modding the hell out of Skyrim, using all those graphic mods people recommend. I quickly realized that 99% of them were pointless -- you're never going to notice that barrels are slightly rounded due to a mesh mod or that the tree bark is hi-res due to a texture pack. The 1% of graphic mods (sans ENB) that were actually good were ones that dealt with lighting, since they had an actual impact on gameplay.
