Gearbox Bought out by THQ Nordic - Or How Lars Wingefors spent a billion dollars just to get Duke Nukem a new game.

Gearbox doesn't own Bulletstorm, it's actually owned by People Can Fly still, Gearbox just worked on the shitty definitive edition.

Wait, do they own the rights to Stubbs? I thought Disney owned it. If they port Stubbs to modern hardware I'll buy that shit day one.
Avast ye matey, anybody got a link for the original Bulletstorm?

Sorry, fam. Wideload Games developed Stubbs, and it was published by Aspyr.

Wideload was bought by Disney Interactive Studios in 2009, and was closed in 2014. And Disney Interactive Studios was closed in 2016, so I'd say that Disney itself owns Stubbs currently.
Same goes for Stubb, anybody knows where an old peg leg can get the PC version of that?

You might not need to if this doesn't turn out to be bunk. Ain't this some fucking synchronicity if there ever was such a thing?

It's basically what happened to Midway (becoming Warner games) and the various bastards that became Atari
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment was founded in 2004. It bought Midway's assets after they closed but never resurrected the name. Time Warner Interactive, on the other hand, was coincidentally bought by Midway's then-parent company, WMS Industries, in the mid-1990s, though.

wait is the headline serious? does this mean we'll be getting a new duke nukem game?
Yes they were bought out for all the IPs they own and being that Subnautica was only published by gearbox in some territories, their two big series that they own are Borderlands and Duke.

The whole company was a 1 and a half trick pony.
